Kuhns

When I listen to Basilio, it's on the iOS Podcast app so I can skip around. I am not seeing/hearing a CTV appearance. Yesterday's guests were Evan Russell and Watson Brown. Monday was a guy from Hogville.net.
Same here. Basilio mentioned in passing today that CTV was supposed to be on yesterday, but schedule didn't allow it. I think CTV enjoys being on Basilio's show, he's on there frequently during the season

All new to me about Kuhns, he looked happy in the dugout when they put the camera on him during the regionals.
That is good news!!

Honestly, the dad would have to be a total nut to throw down with less than a month to go in season.

Especially with his son starting the semi-final game of conference tournament as a true freshman.

Hoping this is just our normal VN fire drill of the week. No real flames anywhere.

Before this is all over with, Tegan will get a chance. When it happens...Carpe Diem

This is a little disjointed due to YouTube transcribing as a live show is streaming. I found the section where Basilio talked about Kuhns. I tried to clean up a little bit, but I think it captures what he said.

…the elephant in the room is Kuhns not pitching this weekend in four games, you know, uh i i think that's pretty
telling. Well let's just say it out loud it's a miracle if that kid is here next year. Oh yeah, I don't think he's ever going to pitch here again. We've seen that script before which is really a strange thing for a guy that Tony said about him on the air last time. He was on here, this guy for his elite traveling team pitched and this is why baseball's a weird game you never know how this stuff's going to work out, but he said "hey this guy held down all the high leverage innings for them, it's why we wanted him he's tough as he wants to be." That's my Pennsylvania boy right there pride of Gettysburg who knows, but that doesn't look good.

There was no appearance from CTV. Fake news. Kuhns MIGHT leave but CTV hasn’t stated that he’s leaving on Basilio or anywhere for public consumption. Basilio speculated that Kuhns would likely not pitch at TN next season.

The poster originally had a typo that said TV instead of TB. This is them correcting themselves.

Basilio apparently did say it as a poster transcribed in an earlier post.
Got it. Looked like OP was clarifying where it was supposedly said by CTV.

I'm fine with losing a pitcher with a 5.4 ERA and 2-4 record. Tony V and Frank Anderson are proven to put pitchers in the league. It won't be hard for them to find an upgrade.

Nah. Kuhns will be special. Top 40 high school recruit who pitched for Team USA. If he has his head on straight, he will be much improved as a Sophomore

Actually, he has a ton of upside potential. Does many of the little things right. Just got tossed into the fight too soon for his age.

Hopefully, he will stay and work hard. Think he could be our Friday night guy next year.

Basillio may have said something like this, I can’t imagine Vitello saying anything remotely in the ball park of this, no coach would air this stuff publicly because it’s stupid to do so, especially right now. If it’s a fact that CTV said this publicly it would be everywhere and it sure as hell would be posted here and most definitely in the Basillio blog today. C’mon people.

Players can better from year to year. Hope you realize that. Marcus Phillis and Kade Anderson are prime examples. To many of you act like these players are finished products their first years on campus.

I don't doubt that he would become a good player for Tennessee if he were to stay. But we are the one's with a pedigree. If Kuhns and his camp do not value that, than so be it. He may have potential, but as of now we have put trust in him that he hasn't really paid off to this point.

It’s 100% made up—CTV didn’t say this to any media outlet. Fake made up crap.

I don’t think it’s “fake made up crap.” I’m pretty sure it’s already been discussed that it was a typo where they meant to TB not TV. Simple miscommunication, not intentional malfeasance.

The OP was clarifying where CTV said it and followed up with it was on Basilio. If I misunderstood, the OP needs to clarify it very distinctly before spreading a baseless rumor. I re read the OP posts and I’m clear on my stance that he said CTV said it on the radio and later when pressed on “what radio”, the OP clarified it was on Basilio.

I read “Sorry about that. It was Basilio” not as where TV said it, but that Basilio was the one who said it.
