Don't forget, Aldrich's performance was a HUGE surprise. Aldrich never even saw the floor in many Kansas games this year--huge potential, but mostly expected for next year. Kaun got into early foul trouble, so Aldrich came in pretty much to buy some minutes. Self left him in because it was obvious that he was a really tough matchup for Carolina.
That's the thing I love most about the Jayhawks and Self. Whoever is effective gets the minutes, and the rest of the guys just go with it and cheer them on. We've lost out on a couple of recruits with big egos, but we like the guys we have!
