Happens with every celebrity death. There is a short window when prices spike. A lot of it is the market. Look at Kobe signed jerseys that sold last week. You could get one for $200-$500 bucks. Today, they're going to 10x that and people are buying the stuff. If you're a dealer who has been sitting on inventory for years, you know this is the time to sell.Hucksters on Ebay have already jacked up the autographed cards and stuff many upwards of 10-20 thousand. Sellers trying to profit from a tragedy asap, suck donkey ears
True I guess - its only worth what someone is willing to pay, but a real Kobe fan would already have what they want before this happenedHappens with every celebrity death. According to ESPN Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas,California. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kobe Bryant's family and friends.

I’ve already posted once in this thread, but damn I’m having a hard time with this. I hate this on so many different levels.
Kobe would have went to Duke.
Titles would have been won.
More things to hold over Carolina.
Kobe is and will forever be a legend of the game.
To me he is arguably the greatest laker ever.
I don’t believe there was/is anyone who can beat prime Kobe. Lebron included.
A great ambassador of the game and did a lot of good for the game. I don’t remember him bring any bad light on the game.
He’ll be missed.
Rip 24/8
Totally disagree, unless we're just talking about his status as an LA icon. Shaq, Magic, Kareem, and maybe even West were all better players for the Lakers, IMO. Kobe's legend is greater than his actual career and it's this totally bitter coincidence that he had a legendary death. Some people are just destined to be remembered, it seems.
