James was fantastic defensively, however. He's also our best mid range shooter when he's on.

Hope he continues to play the kind of defense he's playing right now and maybe the rest will fall in place.

Yeah, SV being a willing shooter and knocking down 2-3 3's means a whole lot more than simply the 6-9 points. Any gravity he can create with his shooting means better spacing and less ability to be able to double DK and JA, and will result in open looks all over the place.

If JJJ would just use his athleticism to get into the paint and hit a couple of those 8-10 footers, all the better.

When we got JJJ I was pumped, I really thought he would be a 2-3 year player and then move on to the NBA. He has just not ever become what I thought he could be.

He hasn't lived up to being a 5-star, but to his credit he reinvented himself as a do-everything team oriented player, a guy who you want on the floor in big spots for his defense, rebounding, ball handling and free throw shooting.

Think the starters all played great until they started to wonder why the were still on the floor. Then it turned into street ball and the announcers started talking about cars, food recipes, the weather and I think did a Dune 2 movie review.

OUTSTANDING !!! game last night. Vescovi is a mad dog on D.... He always seems like he's on balance. Team got off to a great start. St Peters couldn't hit the ocean in the first 10 minutes.. Defense played a big part of that. But it was a team win . Everyone came out ready to get it on.

Against good competition from here out we have to get better offensive numbers from James and Vescovi... Knecht has an off game which will happen in a 6 game stretch... They have to contribute more... It's up to them to break thru whatever the mental ordeal is... They do good things on D for sure but have to be more aggressive especially James.... He plays too soft within 15 ft from the basket and hope from here out somebody lights a fire in him

Yes. The problem is that JJJ doesn't know he's a grown man. He needs to initiate contact around the rim. I would love to see him angry once.
