Kim Silence

Couldn’t agree more. Some/many of the comments on here are just pure hatred for a person who did not seek the job - but took it when offered. She had a more than respectable year 1. Stumbled in year 2 due to her own doing, and some situations which she could not control. Many posters on here continue to attack her in a brutally personal way. Those that do so are more than likely malcontents - unhappy with their own disappointing lives and it makes them feel better to trash others to elevate themselves.
Sad existence….
How very insightful of you, particularly after all of your extensive participation on this forum.
Did you get that psychology degree via the mail or online?
Unfortunately for you the folks on here who are expressing significant dissatisfaction with our poor, unfairly maligned D2 coach are the very same people have are generally very positive.
In case you did not watch the LVs much this year, they were worse than their record. There was essentially no offensive plan, the defensive scheme allowed many, many opponents to score at a 60-70% clip. And, for good measure if one of our players started to get hot they were immediately put on the bench.
Finally for the pinnacle achievement the entire team is leaving because they liked the staff so much!
But you are right. We are just miserable underachievers picking on the poor HC.

I think most of us want the same thing as you say! There's NOTHING personal with KC. It's in everyone's best interest for this thing to start turning around for the better today. I'm fully onboard with hoping for the best. At the same time, I'm very skeptical that the style will work....two years in.

Firing an assistant and having almost every player leave and then have top 5 prospect ask for her release is not turning around for the better. Fire Kim and then things will turn around. Next year will be a disaster. I guarantee you that the most losses in a season will be broken next year and the tournament streak with it.

And for rhe players. For that effort and disrespect to the millions of Lady Vols fans around the world. i hope they follow my lead unfollow you, do not support yoiur brands at all. You ladies, disrespected youaelf, your families(which is crazy), the game of basketball, and the Lady Vols brand and fans. why woud/should I support or follow you? After what yall l have shown me yall are not worth ny attention or time or money. or energy. So moving on. ugh. smh

i had to watch that, bringing friends to the game or watching, for their first time, to see that shi.... Dont tell us sh$$ Kimmue show us. Pat4life

100%. Given her level of success, I doubt many who are criticizing her would have turned down one of the premier jobs in her field.

Many posters on here continue to attack her in a brutally personal way.
And even more this. The level of attribution bias, mind reading, negativity bias, and character assassination evident in recent posts is stunning. Even some misogyny (that getting pregnant was somehow a breach of her obligations as a coach, or that new moms can't coach). People who have had virtually nothing to say all year now rushing in to make comments that impugn CKC's character. I'd say it is weird, but it is not. All completely normal if irrational and often counter-productive human behavior.

There are folks on here who have questioned Kim's approach all year. And they have convinced me there is a good case to be made on that side. One that can only be countered by winning games. The rest of this? The vitriol and character assassination? I guess it just goes with the territory, but it is a bad look on those who perpetrate it.

Oh - and both Bachelors and Masters degrees from UTK. How about you?

How to say you really don’t follow the LVs without really saying it.

There's more theories about what happened this season than I have fingers. I think "good players don't want to play in this system" is an iffy one after how well she recruited the first two cycles AND was able to retain all her best talent from year 1 to 2. If this very base-level assessment was true, you'd think it would've had some kind of validation before this year's meltdown. (where we lost everyone btw, not just talented players. That just screams "there's more to this than 3s, pressing, and subbing". And I imagine the full story will come out eventually...)

Arkansas State just got a 4* commit, by the way. Same system, 3s/pressing/hockey-subs, and they don't even have big NIL money behind them, let alone being a historic P5 program.

Actually I misread your post and owe you an apology. Your comment that only low minute players transferred was referring only to after year one. I missed the year one part and thought you meant the current group of players transferring out. Which as we all know now is all of them.
My apologies.

smh in alll my years of followimg Lady Vols basketball. I have never been emnaraased.

I saw no PRIDE from anybody on yout staff, bench or the floor. All the pride was/is the stands.

please stay silent talk with yout actions, cos if you say the wrong thing or say it the wrong way, you might find out, folks aint gonna too be kind,, espeuvally after what we saw, and or dont be fillpant, nonchalant....

Stay silent speak with your decision making and actions (intent), cos theres nothing you can say to console us, we are on the longest losing strrak in school history, worse seasons..... wow just typing that....

We care.we love the brand of Lady Vols, Pat Summitt. And I will not see by quiet, to watch our prgram, we built this, the fans, we will not sit back and watch our LADY VOLS become irrelevant in our lifetime, that Pat Summitt legacy tarnished in our lifetime. the lady vols = womens basketball periodt. No u got us fu**ed up.

Lady Vols are our family, and were gonna protect our family from those to wish to do the Lady Vols, Pat Summitt brand harm.. stay silent and pleaze dont be dismissive...

so Kimmie better not say shi* stfu

I was with you up until this last sentiment. I’ve always found most of this board fairly centered. This is an exceptional challenge to all of those on the board that truly bleed Tennessee Orange and Summitt Blue.
It is one thing to be critical, disappointed and frustrated. This is to be expected by a passionate fan. It is another thing to result to personal attacks, name calling, suggesting booing her on caravan stops, etc. That behavior is immature, harmful, inappropriate and classless… I would argue that it is far from bleeding Tennessee Orange and Summitt Blue. I suspect Pat would be embarrassed.

Yes sir. I agree totally. Such a brutal set of circumstances.

So many people want to move the goal post . The way DW raises money he's not going anywhere unless he decides. Football and men's basketball are the main driving force for any AD and it's in good hands at the present time. Football may have some trouble with a first year starting QB but things are looking upward.
I have a feeling those fundraising numbers are going to drop with the current sentiment towards football, baseball, and this dumpster fire. Men’s basketball will be the only saving grace going into next season.
