probably wouldn't work

Yeah I know.

My Cousin is a Wildlife officer here. He said your best bet is to use a wire snare secured to a tree.

He also mentioned that for every one you see in the daylight, count on there being 8 or 9 more.

Have you contacted the golf course owners? Seems like they could be held liable for allowing predators to roam their grounds. They may be willing to share the costs of trapping, especially if you tell them they will pay for any injuries to you kids or pets.

I haven't contacted the HOA, and I probably should

The way HOA's are you could be screwed if a neighbor sees you and is not pleased.

I'd vote poison at night removed each morning.

That's what I would do, too. Kill it with my bare hands in front of the other coyotes. Rip it's heart out and eat it while they watched. I think they would get the hint.

or use the steel leader with a treble hook, about 4 feet off the ground with a hotdog on it. To send the other ones a message

i'm not that cruel though

I love the smell of fried coyote in the morning. Now, I'm thinking 50' extension cord with the ends bared and the wires inside the chicken. Coyote approaches...plug it in.
