Kiffin talk of the Gators locker room

dear little newborn baby jesus,
i know asking for a win on sat wouldnt be right, but if your could findit in your heart to cause a pandemic of raging herpes in the gator locker room or if you could convince the gainesville police dept to leave the leg shackles on for the game, it would be greatly appreciated. ahmen

Just for clarification, Florida fans wear jorts and sport mullets.

On the other hand Tennessee fans wear Banana Republic pleated khakis and stylish Tommy Bahama camp shirts, and their hair style is reminiscent of a young George Clooney.

Pass it on.

I've seen enough to form an opinion, and I'm of the opinion that UF's QB situation is in good shape through the the 2011 season.

Come 2010, I wouldn't trade Brantley for any QB in the conference right now.
In other words, you know as much as the scouting services knew in rating Crompton - how he looks against HS comp.

While its obvious that Tebow has gotten a lot more free press, as it were, I see no value to pointing that out. Doesn't mean he's any better or Berry any worse.

In fact, in my mind, they are such different players with different skills playing different positions, its a bit like comparing a priceless coin to a top of the line Jaguar. They are each incredibly valuable for what they are, but you can't compare them.

Ouch. That one hurt Lawgator. You were being so good until then.

I know our current backup QB is better than your starter.

Both were 5-star recruits...ours is just better.

I'll stick with you having no idea what you're talking about, as you have been trying hard to prove since you arrived.

Speaking of your arrival, what kind of loser talks smack on an opponent's board, seriously?

Great quote out of an article from ESPN by Rico:

McCoy knows the atmosphere will be wild Saturday and that the fans will be downright nasty.

He also knows that the Gators have had this game circled ever since Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin became a household name in the SEC back in February when he took aim at Urban Meyer.

“I’m not worried about it,” McCoy said. “I know my team is going to be ready to play. I’m confident. I hear the stuff about them not taking knees, (saving) timeouts.

“You know, if we leave ourselves in that situation, go ahead and do it. If you can do it, do it. But you know, we’re ready to play. We’re going to fight until that last second is off the clock.”

t's ok TN fans.........we all feel you pain and it will continue on Saturday.

Any loud mouth Vol willing put their $ where there :fool: is?

I will even give you a 3 TD spread. If you are going to the game we can meet beforehand or after (pre/post).

How brave of you! You boast one minute about a 40 plus point win, and then you offer a 3 TD spread. Anybody wanting to wager can get 4 TD's through any betting service. Sounds to me like you are not nearly as confident as you try to sound.

OMG...sports radio is working overtime down here in gatrville regarding the Kiffin smack down. It will be a smackdown if we don't run the ball and play defense this week. Man, we have a chance against their weaker receivers this year.Oh that's right, we can't tackle though on 3rd down.

"Singing rocky top all night long after we beat Florida next year"

Why even get mad about that? Esp. after winning a NC... doesn't make sense to me

how bout that Kiffin guy huh? And it's funny they put his quotes all over the lockerroom

"They don't have any respect for ya, make em remember you as long as you live for the way you hit, and they way you knock em down down field and the way you hustle. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK always ATTACK"
Coach Majors

1. I said UF's starting QB next year (Brantley) would start for UT this year.

2. We are in agreement.

3. You mean you hope HOPE Meyer makes the leap to ND. If it happens it happens. We were competitive against you guys when Zook was our coach, and it's not like UT capitalized at all on Spurrier leaving for the NFL. That said, if Meyer leaves for ND, chances are it will be a little later when his youngest kid is older.

4. Bama hasn't dominated our conference in the past 20 years, and last I checked in the history of the SEC title game Bama and Tennessee have never played each other. If you want to harken back to when there were no scholarship limitations and little oversight for recruiting violations, then have at it.

1. My point was that saying someone would start at QB for UT over JC is not saying much. In fact, it's saying so little it's not worth the time.

2. Good.

3. You sucked under Zook against us. The Vols gave Spurrier a loss as a going away from the SEC memory at the Swamp in 2001, and then beat Zook 2 of the next 3 years. That would be 3 out of 4 leading up to your current streak, so don't act like we can't spank that tail. I also noted that CUM's lack of discipline would catch up if he stays. Players' parents will eventually get tired of sending little Johnny down to Gainesville for his trip to jail like the 25 CUM players to date have done. Thus, UF's decline happens either way: CUM can stay and get the whipping he's got coming from Kiffin (that's his fear and why he's really playing it up this year while he's got the upper hand) or go to ND and pretend it wouldn't happen. It really makes no difference to me who you have coaching, but it would be nice to see CUM cry more.

4. There was an SEC for about a half century before there was an SEC title game. The UT-Bama rivalry was being played for several decades before UF realized football was an SEC sport. I know that's a hard concept for Gator fans.

No need to comment on 1 or 2

On point 3:
- Other than UGA, Zook sucked against EVERYONE.

- After UT sent Spurrier away with a loss (thank you Travis Stephens), they crapped the bed in the SEC title game against LSU. A historic road win followed by a monumental letdown in Atlanta. But hey, you did save us both from a beatdown from that '01 Miami squad. That team was stacked.

- The discipline thing is overblown and last I checked the trophy was called the Fulmer Cup. Neither school is in a position to throw stones. Hell, UGA's had more off the field issues than UF and UT sine '05.

- UF's decline was from 2002-2004. UT had a golden opportunity to own the SEC East after Spurrier left, but they didn't take advantage. Now you're left with hoping Kiffin is all he's cracked up to be AND that Meyer leaves for Notre Dame AND that Saban leaves AND that Richt's program falls off. Again, if you can't beat him, just pray like hell he leaves so you don't have to face him.

- It's hard to make a coach cry when you've never beaten him. It looks like 2012 might be your best chance.

On point 4:
Yes I realize the SEC's long, proud history. Again, if you want to pound your chest over successes from 4-5 decades ago before segregation, scholarship limitations and color TV, then go right ahead.

For all of the storied history and tradition that UF allegedly lacks, we're on the verge of taking the lead in the series against Tennessee. How is that possible? UT is 6-15 against Florida the last quarter century, and it's about to be 6-16.

Again, Meyer does not have to leave for ND (as expected) for UF's program to begin its decline. He simply has to keep doing what he is doing and the lack of discipline will take over the program.

And, yes, we have room to talk now. CUM is beating Kiffin 25-0 in arrests--and is way ahead in the 'Fulmer' cup. In fact, if CUM stays long enough, he could become your Fulmer. Good luck with that!

As for Richt, he's not even a factor.

Saban is the coach to beat. I started with that.

The series record is possible because UF didn't play UT when we dominated whereas we have played you during your period of domination (and, yes, I admit we're still in that period--which sux--but it will end).

As for making CUM cry without beating him, that's about all he did in the offseason concerning UT. Pay attention.

Glad we cleared that up...I for one wasn't sure what beforehand or after meant.
