I said this to my father over the weekend. The Big10 suckered the SEC into adding another regular season game which will only lead to more carnage within the SEC while making the records of the Big10 look better than the SEC's....
Sankey got suckered. The BIG whipped him up one side and down the other used him as w whipping boy. Sankey looks dumber than someone who paid for a pet rock.

Ohio St kicked Tennessee's tail last time they played, but Ohio State has a losing record against all SEC teams combined, including Tennessee in the Citrus Bowl

I really think it’s time for the SEC/B1G challenge to become a thing. Spread out over 2 weekends in September 8 games per weekend. Have a marquee primetime game or stupid B1G Noon game each weekend w/ a big time matchup . It would be great for college football, would be a great TV #, it would force IU, Penn St and some of these other B1G schools into playing a 10th P4 game and stop allowing them to have a 2 or 3 game season.
Yeah and OSU would draw State or KY every year to play

The 9 game schedule is going to be brutal for multiple reasons. The obvious being the win/loss. But look at injuries already in this league also. You are just amplifying that.

And you know what would happen? Ohio State would end up playing Mississippi State, PSU playing Auburn, etc....

Give Ohio state the business all that you want, but you can’t really crap on Indiana. Cignetti is a hell of a coach and he’s undefeated with a roster of mostly 3 stars. They beat Oregon in their house. Since we are out of the playoffs I wouldn’t mind seeing them win it all.

We need to look at this from the long term big10 perspective. Before adding the 9th conference game the SEC had 1 OOC game of note and 2-3 joke games. IF we use the BIG10 model then we expand the SEC by 6 teams, NC State, Duke, UCF, LA Tech, Virginia and Virginia Tech. This creates or keeps "state rivalry for atleast 1 interesting game and allows the conference some bottom feeders. Move to 10 conference games, 2 bye week's and 1 throwaway game! 11 game season. 5 Home/away. Don't even worry about playing anyone else! NO OOC, keep our money in house!

If we REALLY want to piss them off, do 1 neutral site game (12) all around the country....UTvs Vandy @steelers Stadium, Alabama vs LSU@ KC, etc!

Lastly, get rid of the SECCG, crown the champ.with record....etc.

They will keep going too. They’ll eventually add a 10 conference opponent schedule and call out the SEC again. Easier to play a heavy conference state when you’re playing Rutgers, Northwestern, Maryland, etc.

I think you’re both wrong. ESPN and Fox and the commissioners would be steering it and they would want to get the best TV draw possible. Ohio State in Tuscaloosa, Athens, Baton Rouge or Knoxville and vice versa would be big time . Same thing if put a game at the Big House or The Coliseum. I think games like Auburn at Iowa would even get a big # .

Sunday, Kiffin shared a message about Indiana and Ohio State's schedules the rest of the season.

"To 100% lock up College Football Playoff spots, Indiana and Ohio State need to beat teams with a combined Big Ten record of 4-23. The Hoosiers play three teams in the final three weeks of the season that are a combined 0-16 in conference play," the message, retweeted by Kiffin, reads.
Sure he understands that. Too bad he doesn't understand how to win on the road against ranked opponents. Literally only has one ranked win on the road in his entire tenure at Ole Miss.

Tv networks scammed Sankey. Big10 thought they might as well to.

The SEC going to a 9 game schedule is going to end up looking like a pretty dumbass decision in the very near future. The playoff committee obviously doesn't take much into account for SOS. At least they haven't so far.
While we’re at it, let’s go ahead and add FSU, Miami, Clemson and another school to make it even harder to win games.
College football is so lame now.
