Kenny Chesney at Battle of Bristol

I'm sorry, but isn't that the job of an entertainer? How can you blame him for appealing to varying audiences/fan bases when that's what sells tickets and albums?

Also, if you think concert tickets should never be over $100, you don't go to many shows. It has become darn near impossible to get decent seats to anyone worth seeing live without paying premium dollar to StubHub, Vivid, or an individual seller/agent.

Well he should not be surprised not shocked that there are people in Tennessee who don't like him. Surley he knows how we are about Bama.

Kenny can play at Bristol, people will enjoy his music and all but he needs to quit acting like a Tennessee fan. Tennessee fans always were orange they don't put on a different jersey every day. Don't be a phony Kenny. GBO!!!!!

I've been to tons of shows, too many to count and I have never paid over 100 dollars. Mainly all rock and heavy metal shows. They don't over charge their fans though.

Have no clue what your point is then since KC is able to sell out places for double the price. Do the better acts now command a lower price? The more popular you get the less money you try to make?

My point was if artist for example like RHCP, Eminem, or even Godsmack to a lesser degree can sell out shows country wide at half the price and they still survive than why can't Kenny? Surely he has made enough money that he isn't hurting. Just saying they're bigger and better acts then KC and don't cost as much

Here is what WBIR says ...

"Chesney will headline the three-act concert on the backstretch of Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night, Sept. 9, 2016. The East Tennessee trio The Band Perry and Nashville's Old Dominion will also perform."

I don't know what backstretch means - I am not a race fan. :)

Side opposite the frontstretch where the start/finish line is. In other words not the curved ends.

I understand that, obviously there is a lot more behind the scenes then just him playing a show. I know that everybody gets a cut of the money, still why is his concert tickets so much compared to everyone else? He certainly isn't doing or saying anything to lower the price of his shows. I've been to all kinds of different concerts, and I've seen much bigger acts than him that don't charge nearly as much. For example I paid 65 to see Eminem at Metlife stadium, yet a Kenny show is between 125 and 150 at the Linc. You may be right, he may not have anything to do with it, still there are much bigger acts that don't charge any where near him. That's all I'm saying.

And you are admitting that????

Yea A iconic rapper in his prime. Just cause you don't like rap doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't. I'm not even a big rap fan but the chance to go was there so I took. Since there was close to 60,000 people there I guess I wasn't the only one.

guy is doing what he has to do to make more money.. anyone on here in same situation would do same... if they say they wouldn't they are lying to themselves..... in his business you play to you're fans... wherever they are..... I can say all day I would never wear fl stuff but if I'm making tons of money and I go there and it gets me more money.............................

don't criticize till you walked a mile in his shoes....

do what you have to do to take care of family.....

Butch wore c mich stuff when there.. cincy stuff when there and now Tennessee.... is he the same piece of crap for doing what his job entails.

Yeah, because Kenny Chesney can't provide for his family without kissing every college football teams' collective butt. Give me a break

You guys realize he went to ETSU right? People act like he played for the Vols and is doing this. He is an entertainer and can wear whatever he wants

Are you saying people who didn't go to UT can't be real fans? Interesting...

Shirtless dude rants while wearing Alabama red Cap . If you are going to do this at least wear Orange or take the cap off.

Charlie Daniels was a hugely popular country/southern rock artist, anyone remember him wearing other teams jersey's? Or making statements about changing fandom over being in awe?

If so, that's proof Kenny is just doing what has to be done. If not, Kenny is a b*tch.

Personally, I don't remember Charlie doing any of that but then again, I don't follow his day to day activities either.

Give it a break. He's a UT fan for sure. But he's also a damned business man and wants to sell tickets, albums and merch. Get over yourselves.
