Jon is a good coach, but from what I understand, they decided that only one of them would coach going forward. It felt like for a while she was going to stay in TV and he was going to pursue a job, but obviously that changed.

She has some other support staffers that stayed at Tennessee this year that are going to join her staff shortly.

I’m guessing Kellie may wait to announce her fifth hire after this school year is over and her family and all the belongings they plan to move are in Missouri in whatever house they’ve bought.

From Kellie Harper interview seems like she didn't want her kids miss school.
Seems like if her and John Harper move before school ends they try to make it easier on their kids.
They may not switch kids to after the school year.
Just have to wait and see.

I think you don’t even believe yourself when you say “neither.” 😉 You make it a little obvious, but we’ve all got our own prerogatives.

Your take about Coach Caldwell’s first season is what I will charitably call intentionally myopic. There were some frustrating moments to be sure, but there’s always a learning curve for new coaches—especially those who are adjusting to the degree that ours had to with the jump she made from WV to Knoxville. I’m not sure I fully understand the attempt to color the season in such a negative way when there were some very high highs and we started from a place where making the tournament seemed like a bit of a stretch.

The way our coach has recruited, the way the team rebounded from the malaise at the end of the regular season, and the way we closed out the season by pushing a Final Four team to the limit show me that we’ve got LOTS to be excited about. Our athletic director feels the same way, as do many who’ve observed the vibe around the program.

I guess everybody’s perspective is valid!

Seems like the players like Kellie
I didn't hear any of players saying anything bad about John.
Maybe John Harper not coaching will let the assist coaches get more attention during the games.
Seems like John Harper comes across as a likeable guy on tv.
When John Harper coach during the during the games it seems like some fans had something to say about his coaching .
Weather fair or not.

Marta is such a heady player and Kellie knows she's a verbal leader on the court, so hopefully she'll end up at Mizzou. Might be a tough sell, though, once she visits Missouri after having spent two years in California.

No love lost there. I’ll bet Marta goes back east somewhere easier to fly home. USF would be a great spot for her.

Went back and check who the writer was on possible Missouri women's basketball transfers portal pickups.
Not a SI writer but Missouri college student.
Some body Got to give their opinions while basketball fans wait on who accurately signs

She was certainly dealing with some issues, including her mother‘s illness, but she had blowups with the staff over her conditioning, desire to play guard, insistence on becoming a vegan and refusing to work with the nutritionist to actually get enough fuel in her to be a D1 basketball player. Good luck to whatever program takes her.
