Keith Ellison

Cant substantiate. They dont just believe the poor abused woman? Crazy talk! Misogynistic hatemongers of the Patriarchy!
Nope - it's only misogynistic to doubt the claim if the person being accused as an "R" after their name, or is strongly associated with someone with an "R" after their name.

Typical deflection. “C” is for confirmation Friday. Does “mick” have an underlying meaning for white guilt, apologist, sheep, or puppet.

Must have hit the mark with you. Some of your buddies were arrested today. News at 2.

DEMOCRATS PASS ELLISON ABUSE ACCUSATIONS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT

Law enforcement will now be handling the assault accusations against Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison after the local Democratic Party investigation came up inconclusive.

The Minnesota Democratic Farm Labor Party (DFL) concluded their investigation into the domestic abuse allegations against Ellison by his ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan. The internal investigation found that Monahan was “unwavering in her claim that the alleged physical altercation occurred” and found her allegations credible, but they also noted that Ellison “truly seemed not to recall the incident ever happening.”

Minneapolis Police Will Not Investigate Keith Ellison Due to ‘Conflict of Interest’

The Minneapolis Police Department announced Wednesday that it will not open an investigation into the domestic abuse allegations against Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), citing a “conflict of interest.”

The department said it would be referring the case to other law enforcement agencies because Ellison’s son, Jeremiah Ellison, sits on the Minneapolis City Council.

“Due to a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest, the Minneapolis Police Department will not be handling the matter involving Congressman Keith Ellison,” the department said in a statement.

State Democrat Party officials requested the Minneapolis Police look into the allegations after an attorney hired by the Minnesota Democratic Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, the state’s Democrat Party, investigated allegations that Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, Karen Monahan, made against the congressman.

Monahan claimed that in 2016, the Minnesota Democrat dragged her by her feet off of a bed and yelled profanities at her. Ellison’s ex-girlfriend posted a tweet in September displaying a 2017 medical document identifying the Minnesota Democrat as her abuser.

Wow. Chicago law enforcement/politics moved a little north i guess.

No, that's a wise move. I'm sure the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension would be a better stopping point for such a thing.
OK, I will now defer to your expertise on this matter since I have no idea what you are talking about. It seems to me that the POLICE would handle this. I had no idea there was another branch of law enforcement.

State level. Like the TBI.

DOMESTIC ABUSE ALLEGATIONS TAKING TOLL IN ELLISON’S RACE FOR STATE AG

Accusations of domestic abuse appear to be taking their toll on Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison and his quest to become the next state attorney general.

As the New York Times notes, Ellison seemed to be a picture-perfect candidate in a progressive, blue state, especially since he served as the leader of the Democratic National Committee. But that was before ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan began accusing him of abuse. Monahan claims that Ellison pulled her from her bed while verbally abusing her. She has also pointed to a 2017 medical report in which she blames Ellison for “emotional and physical abuse.”

Recent polling indicates that Ellison is now in a tight race with Republican opponent Doug Wardlow, a lawyer with a low political profile. A Minnesota Tribune poll indicates Ellison is narrowly ahead, while a second shows the two tied. The latter survey indicates that 40 percent of respondents are aware of the domestic abuse allegations and say they will be “a factor” in their decision on whether or not to support Ellison. Ellison, who also serves as deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, sits at 36 percent compared to Wardlow’s 43 percent, according to a Star Tribune/Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) poll released Tuesday. This comes as Ellison led Wardlow by around five points as of Sept. 19, according to an earlier Star Tribune/MPR poll, meaning there was a 12-point shift in just over a month.
