‘EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE’: ELLISON ACCUSER POSTS DOCTOR’S REPORT NAMING CONGRESSMAN AS ALLEGED ABUSER
The ex-girlfriend accusing Democratic Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison of domestic abuse told her doctor in 2017 about alleged “emotional and physical abuse” from Ellison, according to a document the woman published Wednesday.
Karen Monahan’s account in the doctor’s report is consistent with what she has been saying publicly since August: that Ellison was emotionally and physically abusive to her while the two were dating.
Ellison is the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and is the Democratic nominee for Minnesota attorney general. He has adamantly denied emotionally or physically abusing Monahan. (RELATED: Ellison To Accuser: ‘We Don’t Have To Destroy Each Other’)
“She states that she was in a very stressful environment for years, emotional and physical abuse by a partner with whom she is now separated,” reads the November 2017 report, a picture of which Monahan posted on Twitter.

PEREZ STILL PROUD OF MAKING KEITH ELLISON DEPUTY DNC CHAIR, DESPITE ABUSE ALLEGATIONS
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tom Perez touted his decision to make Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison the deputy DNC chair, even though Ellison currently faces unresolved domestic abuse allegations.
Ellison, the Democratic nominee for Minnesota attorney general, is accused of physically and emotionally abusing his ex-girlfriend, Sierra Club activist Karen Monahan. Ellison has repeatedly denied Monahan’s allegations. (RELATED: Keith Ellison Accuser Posts Doctor’s Note)
Despite Monahan’s allegations, Perez touted his decision to give Ellison his DNC leadership position in a podcast interview with The Washington Post on Tuesday.
“I think people lost faith in the DNC. We lost a lot of elections and we did it in a way that made people feel like the process wasn’t fair and so from the moment I got there, I understood that it was really important to bring people together,” Perez said.
“Ninety seconds after I was declared the winner in the election, the first thing I did was ask Keith Ellison to join the party as deputy DNC chair because neither of us wanted to see half the participants walk out disappointed,” Perez added.

Total hypocrites. That's a DEM for ya.ONLY 5 PERCENT OF MINNESOTA DEMOCRATS BELIEVE KEITH ELLISON’S ACCUSER
Few Democratic voters in Minnesota believe that Rep. Keith Ellison abused his ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan while the two were dating, according to a poll released Wednesday.
The Minnesota Star Tribune and Minnesota Public Radio News polled 800 likely voters between Sept. 10 and 12 on the Minnesota attorney general race. In response to a question on whether each voter believed the allegations leveled at Ellison are true, 5 percent of Democrats responded “yes,” 30 percent responded “no” and 65 percent were unsure.
The Democratic Party has largely ignored the allegations against Ellison, which he denies. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is a different matter, however, and Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez has called for an investigation into decades-old allegations that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted someone while in high school.
Monahan posted pictures of a 2017 doctor’s report Wednesday corroborating her story and naming Ellison as her abuser. (RELATED: ‘Emotional And Physical Abuse’: Ellison Accuser Posts Doctor’s Report Naming Congressman As Alleged Abuser)
