Keeping up with the transfers

True but we got Alexander who is basically like him with a higher upside

I think our post situation is such that we could have found a way to keep and use both guys though. Owens' potential/ceiling/upside is very similar to Alexander's IMO.

True. But Owens body type/frame was too slender. It was debatable whether Owens would ever develop a college-ready body. Where as Alexander has already shown huge improvements and has shown he will be able to put on more weight in the future IMO.

Yes, both players have similar frames and body types. I just think Alexander's will handle more weight.

Yeah I think Tariq would have been sucessful here. He's similar to Alexander but he's played basketball longer so has a better feel for the game.

Judging off of Owens' stat thru two games, it would appear he's improved as well, and a RS year probably did him wonders from a strength standpoint. He needed that as a freshman at Tennessee but wasn't afforded it due to lack of post depth. He may never be able to carry the weight Alexander can, but I really liked his skill-set and potential. Can't really argue that he wouldn't be an asset on this team either. Team him with Alexander in the post and we'd have a nice duo to build around. He'd contribute more than Evans and maybe Fulkerson, though admittedly, it's still early.

Rob Gray is still the only miss that's throwing up big numbers. Some are pretty bad.

Going on Wednesday to see wku, do players who sit still travel?

By sit here do you mean the transfers or ones that are out with long term injuries? I know players that are injured & expected to be out for a long while they do travel with the team once they're surgery is done and rehab is about over. Transfers don't normally travel with the team.

I went to the wku forum, and some suspect a fight with teammates. Also, stansbury said it was indefinite and that was "if he ever comes back. "

I said it before, Stansbury being hired was bad news for McGhee and Carmichael. For one, those aren't his guys so he owes them nothing, and two...he's not recruiting at a mid major level, he's got a 5* big man coming in next season and is looking to add transfer guys from HM's also...I don't see either of those guys being a major factor for WKU.

The word on the wku forum is that McGhee will be a big factor. Especially if he gets eligible this year.
