I'm telling you guys the better option is to place a Hefty Fine on the coach when he has committed a violation and has left the school where the infraction occurred before it was caught. When you hit people in their wallet they take second notice to doing it again. Just Fine him and move on.... However the NCAA I'm sure want to overcomplicate this.
Amazed at how many have given up on CDT in just 2-3 weeks. Pathetic really.
I honestly don't care what we do anymore. Keep him, fire him... I don't care.
I will say that I find it interesting though that I see some of the same people who s*** all over Pearl and pushed him out the door, they're backing Tyndall. A coach that has literally done nothing for our program to date. We don't support the guy who gets us to our only elite 8 and #1 standing in the country but we're going to stand behind the guy who has never coached at a big time program or accomplished anything. This, I don't understand. Anyways, I just got a craving for some BBQ. Ssshhhh, don't let the NCAA know I got a stash of some kind meat. Mum's the word.
But, but ole BP lied. Just cant trust a feller that lies. :whistling:
Look I was no big fan of Martin but he did ok. Hart knew Martin was going to leave and what did he come up with "this guy" WTF. Tyndall is a decent coach but my god man is that the best Hart had on his hit list?
I haven't given up on him at all, but I feel like if the NCAA cloud hanging over our head is hindering us in recruiting do we really have a choice but to fire him? I mean we didn't look into his past history with the NCAA enough obviously, but all that aside he has proved he is a good coach and a good guy as well. I hope he can get out of this with nothing but a 5 game suspension and we can retain him, but the unknowns are definitely there because nobody knows what's going to happen. If we do have to fire him this will set us back 2-3 more years possibly and we can't have that. I want to keep Tyndall, but the question is will his violations allow us to keep him. We shall see, but until that time I'm behind him 110%. He is a good coach and a good mentor, so that's all that really matters at this point.
Hypothetically- if Tennessee did fire Tyndall, who in the hell would want to come coach here? Take off the orange-tinted glasses before answering. Facilities can only get you so far.
Tony Basillio posed a good question today on his show. He said the NCAA is going to give UT a reason to fire Tyndall if they want to and he asked should we cut strings and start all over while we can or keep Tyndall for anything less than a show cause. Personally, I really like Tyndall and think he can coach but my question is can he recruit at the level required to win at a high level? With the NCAA issue hanging over his head, we really wont know an answer to this until it's too late. So, would you prefer to find out the answer to this question or start all over and try to hire another coach?
We need someone who can recruit. We are in same division as Calapari and Kentucky, alone with Florida. Unless we are going to settle for 3rd place every year.
Totally different situation. Dooley had 3 years. There is no way you dump Tyndall without some serious punishment from the NCAA.
