Definitely JP. And he absolutely was. I first read the LOTR trilogy as a kid. Those novels are among the few that I reread every couple years, along with some works by Ursula K. LeGuin, Octavia Butler, and Hemingway. Tolkien had a fascinating life, both in fiction and reality.

Anyways, we ain't here to play school as Ohio State guy would say. Lol

I have my doubts, frustrations, and hopelessness about Tennessee just as much as the next dude. But it is my alma mater, and no matter how bad it gets, it is my school and home.

One thing to learn from Tolkien is that no matter how much you are beaten down, outmatched, overwhelmed, and without a clear path, there is always hope. If you don't have hope, then what is the point?
