Maybe my cynicism is maxed out tonight out of frustration, but the next time the D control congress I wouldn't be surprised if they make some attempt to pull Kavanaugh if he were confirmed.

I know, it's unrealistic, but seems like every year the party in control breaks established rules/procedures to their own selfish partisan benefit.

Unless the far-fetched claims of Swetnick happened to bear out, I don't see it happening. It's impossible for me to imagine that the things he denied today would ever affect him after being seated, if they were to eventually be proven false. I honestly don't know how that would work even if it were to be attempted.

You seriously have no idea how desperate and pitiful it looked for the Dems to repeatedly bully and beg K to ask for a FBI investigation on himself and delay his own confirmation vote until after the midterms?

Chances are, they'll wait to impeach him until after the midterms if they get a Senate majority, which is becoming less and less likely.

I thought the latest right wing angle was that she was just doing what she thought was right and telling her "truth" as she remembered it. It was the dems. who took a brave but sad woman and destroyed her life and reputation. Are we back to claiming she was in on it the whole time and was just trying to ruin K while making a few quick bucks?
