Kavanaugh Confirmation

Wasn't quite as rare when I went to high school. There were some pretty raunchy events at some parties.

None of the participants in one such event that comes to mind will ever be, nor do they deserve to be, on the SCOTUS. They should have drawn jail time, but the girl didn't report it, nor did any of the witnesses. I am guessing it never happened by virtue of what I learned in this forum.

you are recounting one incident so memorable that you consider it criminal. Now, let's imagine a scenario where that was common place and common knowledge. Do you think that's 1) likely and 2) something that when interviewed years later virtually no one would have any recollection of?

You laugh, but candor is extremely important to the bar. I have gone through a bar interview because of my spotty past and it is an exercise in humility. Two hours of questioning by a panel of three on every thing I ever did wrong from the age of 10 on. Felt like I had been anally violated by a horse when it was over.
Exactly how does it feel to be anally violated by a horse? Asking for a friend.

The incident I am talking about didn't occur in a bedroom with just the perpetrators. It occurred for all to see. I had left early, but heard about it later.

At least the former, possibly the latter as well. Thought it was funny when he was on Tucker Carlson and asked Tucker "Do you watch porn?" lmao at Tucker calling him Creepy Porn Lawyer to his face.

That's all Tucker wanted out of the deal was to poke him with childish insults. It played well to his audience, though.

I've never been asked about my HS or college drinking during a job interview, also I've never seen anything about that on resumes I get.
That's not the anology. If Kavanaugh is lying now, that's comparable to lying on his resume when interviewing for a new job. If the employer sniffs out that lie, it's hardly a defense to say but I didn't lie in my prior employment. I don't think anyone thinks an employer is out of bounds for refusing to hire someone who lied on their resume, even if it was about a minor issue.
