The points are valid. McConnell virtually called her a liar today and said Kavanaugh would be confirmed. Think what you will about her credibility, she is being dismissed before being heard.
I think McConnell is an idiot for saying that, but then again he's supposed to be some kind of a Senatorial Jedi master.
that's a mighty fine line you are drawing. especially considering the publicity started before the investigation. point still remains that these, as of yet, unsubstantiated charges have had a pretty drastic impact on Kavanaugh. looks especially dubious when the accuser is making a mighty fine profit from the matter. The investigation doesn’t ruin your life, the publicity does.
lol, thats a mighty high standard you are holding him too. You think that all the supreme court justices has been 100% about highschool? this is getting ridiculous. next you will be asking about grades and he will say an "A" and you look into and find out that it was indeed an "A-" and therefore is a liar and can't be trusted. get real here.I think it was a bad move and he recognized it as such. At a minimum, he's now on the record saying factual things (i.e., that he was a virgin in high school) that could easily be contracted and put him in a position of lying. For example, if a former HS girlfriend has a diary detailing the first time she had sex with Kavanaugh, he's been caught in an obvious lie. I can guarantee you that the Dems are right Now fact-checking everything he said tonight to get fodder for the argument that he's a liar and that his denials are not credible.

this is what I am noticing. its not just win at any cost. its make sure that its not worthwhile for the other side to win. this stuff has to stop. both sides. we should be working together to make things better. they (DC) have no interest in America. It’s a total sham. If Dems can’t get their way they’d willing to burn everything to the ground. It’s sad, but a true indication of their depravity

Of course, calling him a liar without having heard his side is just as bad, no?
How long should they wait for her to get over her "fear of travel"?Yes.
Both sides have participants acting very irresponsibly, imo.
Its perfectly fine for GOPers to say that they are suspicious of the timing. It is not ok to say that, therefore, she's lying and is a Dem operative/plant.
Its perfectly fine for Dems to say that the process is moving too quickly and the allegations deserve to be checked into. It is not ok to say that given the lack of that by the GOP they believe the accuser.
Lindsey Graham on Fox the other day said it best. "What am I supposed to do? Just automatically believe her and ruin his life? She deserves to be heard and we will and judge it then." Or words to that effect.
He's exactly right. Have the hearing, go in with an open mind as best you can, and see who you think is telling the truth.
Yes.
