It’s just another delay tactic.

Note how Flake qualified the request in his last statement. Brief and only addressing the present allegations. IE moonbats don’t get to March out 30 more accusers ad nauseam. Of course the moonbats will try that and call foul. But Flake stated that and if turtle does this he needs to limit it.

The FBI has nothing to do with this, all they do is take statements from people. They really don't have the means of really "investigating" any of this, nor will provide conclusions be reached. The investigation is in the committee, that's now over. The idiots that called for a FBI investigation are well... idiots. Which is what the Republicians were saying in the committee, the stupid Democrates have no freaking idea that they're the investigation body in this process. Duhhh.

The floor vote wasn’t till Tuesday apparently anyway. While this is still another delay tactic it could very well solidify Collins, Murkowski, and Manchin as a yes. In fact Flake could have been the messenger of that stipulation based on yesterday’s brief meeting.

He said this morning he was a yes, and he indeed was a yes. He might be speaking for Collins and Murkowski here though.

It cleared committee with a vote to confirm. That is a step closer.

Flake is a "no" apparently unless it happens. Collins and Murkowski have not weighed in but I find it hard to imagine they wouldn't agree with Flake.

Except the FBI performs background checks. They haven't talked to anyone involved in this allegation. What is the harm?
