Kavanaugh Confirmation

Better than voting for the Criminal Clinton.

It's more crap stirring by the DEMs. Just like they did with Judge Thomas.
Wouldn't call it crap with Thomas. Weren't there corroborating witness who would have testified if called?

No I didn't which procedural move would that be?

When an item is brought to committee for the first time it is customary to table it for one week to allow members to consider the item prior to the final debate and vote.

Happens all the time and is pretty common procedure in representative committees within organizations (such as my university), municipalities, etc.

OK. So one of those well-established customary rules--like giving a president's nominee an up or down vote and not refusing to hold hearings.

You do realize that he has been through a senate confirmation before?

Man I sure hope that after he gets confirmed and is hearing cases on the bench he’s stronger than I would be and not let all the personal stuff he’s being put through by the Dems sway his decisions . 😎

Good, it gives more time for the dirt to come out. He will probably be confirmed and I'm not under any impression that he won't. As far as being morally sound, he is not.

You're not morally sound either Mick. You do vote for the DEM party right? They do support Abortion right? How does a self described Christian support such a thing? I don't understand.

Not sure what your point is but it is common. It's not a "customary" rule. It is a Senate rule that can be invoked by the majority or minority.

You're barking up the wrong tree if you think I didn't support giving MG a hearing.

It does hint at the "payback" mentality though - let's destroy Kavanaugh personally as payback.

Maybe you would have preferred if R's gave MG a hearing but tried to destroy his character as cover for not voting for him?

And what leads you to that opinion?

You are judging his moral soundness based on this confirmation process? Ho-ley Crap.

Mick and TennTom might want to read this - I'm betting they won't. It's from a person 1) more liberal than they will ever be, 2) more qualified to judge K's soundness for the court than they will ever be and 3) who's had extensive, ongoing contact in both professional and social settings (whereas Mick and TennTom have never met the man).

I’m a Liberal Feminist Lawyer. Here’s Why Democrats Should Support Judge Kavanaugh.
Have you met the man? And what does her opinion have so much weight with you?
