Even still, it was just odd. She simply asked how he knew him, and he went into a 1-2 minute explanation about his background and what he did after HS. He needs to just answer the question that is asked.

There's a great video making the rounds of Biden, during the Clarence Thomas confirmation, emphatically saying that an FBI investigation into all of this is inconclusive, and wouldn't substantiate anything. All they would do is interview both parties and document what was said, which is exactly what is going on during this hearing.
