I know you guys probably won't believe me, but I'm actually much more in favor of putting up centrists, regardless of who's doing the nominating. I think ideologues on either side are not good for the court. Just makes it too political.

There are Kenya equivalents - the "russian puppet", Bush was in on 9/11 and helped the Bin Laden's escape, etc. etc.

You're probably right. People won't believe you because you constantly compromise your credibility here with your trolling. Not everything has to be partisan. It's okay to admit your side is just as capable of doing wrong as the other. Sometimes moreso.

I'm a "like for like" person with a goal of a balanced court. I'm also an advise and CONSENT person. The POTUS gets his picks unless they are seriously (objectively) unqualified. This "we don't like their leanings" crap is nuts and not what was intended.

I think the court should be balanced but I'm fine with a Ginsberg if there's a Scalia on the other side. I don't think K is any more right of Kennedy than MG was left of him. While I supported a vote for MG I do believe trying to replace a Scalia with a left centrist isn't in the spirit of having a balanced court.

If K (or equivalent) goes through and Trump gets to replace Ginsberg I hope he picks (but doubt he will) someone at MG left-ness or more. If he gets a shot and nominates someone center or right of center I'll join you in protest.
