Even if the FBI could investigate K, what are they going to investigate? Ford doesn't have a time or place. Heck, even a definite year when this "assault" occurred. Furthermore, the only other potential witness to the crime has denied that it ever occurred.

Were all of the options on the table at the time of this tweet? I think if they were then he is spreading fake news and if they weren't it's really easy to send out an update tweet that he apparently sees no need in doing which could also be thought of as fake news. They do themselves no favors by not being entirely truthful and damage their credibility of impartiality.

I keep asking and get no reply. Have you seen any indication Ford is willing to talk to the FBI? Why hasn't she talked to the them (as the article points out the "investigation" by the FBI consists of interviews)? Given she wants her story investigated isn't the natural starting point an interview with her?
