I've got nothing for you at this point. A kid just lost the season because of a late hit and you've convinced yourself that it's ok. Bravo.
Did I say it was "okay"? Surely you can quote me.
I hate it for Kamara. I have met Kamara. I've spoken with him. I like him as a person every bit as much as I appreciate his talent on the field. There is no one on Tennessee's team that I want to see succeed more than him. I absolutely hate that he suffered the injury. If this is the end of his college career I will be incredibly bummed, and I will be pulling for him in the NFL. I like him for reasons much more significant than the name on his jersey.
So no, it's not okay. But it also wasn't dirty.
Ok, so you can plow a player that is clearly out of bounds, but as long as they don't get hurt then it is completely fine? If they do get hurt, then oh well it was just like any other hit anywhere on the field! That is exactly what you are saying!
It's not okay for anyone to get injured.
Here's the thing that seems to confuse you.
There is NO legit reason to intentionally hit someone out of bounds.
There are accidents caused by momentum, they are obvious.
He wasn't trying to pull up, he wasn't shifting direction and accidentally made contact despite his efforts.
He intentionally made a hit that cost his team yardage.
So if he wasn't making a hit to help in field position, he was making an illegal hit in order to damage the opposition.
Spin till you're blue, doesn't change that he was trying to inflict damage.
So you think Holcombe intentionally injured Kamara's left knee by hitting him in the right thigh?
