Justin hunter is an absolute physical freak

I swear only a UT or Ga Tech fan would think 1116 yards over 3 years is good. NFL plays 16 games a season and even with his missed games his numbers are still bad. Kendal Wright had 1,000 yards in 2013. Delane Walker has around 2,000 yards over the past 2 seasons. There are balls being thrown to receivers who show that they'll make the catch and make a play. Hunter hasn't shown that outside of one game in 2013

I never said the guy was All-pro. The argument the entire time was that Hunter was garbage solely because he tore his ACL and was "scared" to play post injury. I simply stated that he had a good year in college and has had some decent stats in the NFL, even with poor QB play and limited by injuries.

For those who do not buy into the quality of a QB having a tremendous effect on the production of a WR need look no farther than Demaryius Thomas. Look at his stats before Peyon got there and compare them to after he got there. No comparison.

With Hunters physical abiities, I think its much more likely that had he had a very good QB throwing to him, his stats would be much better. You mean to tell me that Hunter would not be a better WR if Rodgers, Roethlisberger or Brady was throwing to him? Please.

Justin has got to get hungry or he can find another line of work. I think this is it for the Titans and if they cut him, he will get one more shot to be a 4th or 5th guy somewhere.

I wish him luck cause I think he's a good kid and is a former Vol but he's got to realize this is how he feeds his family and get tough. That ball is money, food, clothing and housing for his wife and children... Not just a ****ing football.

This is typical Titans scouting. I could have told them he was soft, hell we all saw it. Yet they trade up to get him only to be disappointed that is is soft. Hopefully the new GM has a clue cause the last one was a complete idiot.

He didn't hit the ceiling. He says so. If I was his momma I'd bust his ass for playing around. That's how he got hurt to begin with.

I wish that he would come to Carolina. I'd be glad to have him.

I wonder if having a child influenced him on the field? Maybe his mind hasn't been on football as it should?

I wish we could find some scared wide receiver to come in here and have a thousand yards and nine touchdowns this season

Never said he didn't have his own faults. The QB play is definitely limiting him as well as his own transgressions playing the WR position in the NFL.

My main argument was that Hunter showed the ability put up good numbers post ACL tear. Many on this board seem to think Hunter was scared after he got hurt and therefore is the main reason for his lack of production. I disagree with the statement.
College production =/= NFL production.

Poor QB play doesn't explain why he's currently the #5 receiver on his own team.

And yet I didn't blame it solely on the QB....

He has his own faults, but being scared after an ACL injury is not one of them. Please read the entire thread before posting.

As I recall Hunter had almost 1,100 yards his last year at UT and 9 TD's with a talented Bray throwing him the ball.

So please, tell me what stellar QB's have been throwing him the ball in the NFL? Additionally, his numbers were limited by a ruptured spleen if I recall last year.

No he broke his ankle last season and missed his final 8 or 9 games last year.

He had a lacerated spleen that ended his season in November in 2014.

I have a feeling that he may not make it thru training camp this year. The Titans drafted him high and expect players selected that high to perform. They have already brought in Dorial Green-Beckham to replace his role on the team. D.G.B. is not consistent but if he plays a little better, the Titans will keep D.G.B. and send Hunter packing.

They ideally brought in Green-Beckham to do more than just replace Hunter's role.

Hunter's worries at this point might be more about guys like Harry Douglas and Rishard Matthews plus the rookies pushing him off the depth chart.

Once again I will present facts. He had almost 1,100 yards his last year at UT and 9 TD's. I don't think the injury did THAT much to his psyche. He has struggled in the NFL due to having no-name QB's throwing him the ball and a ruptured spleen.

Put him on a team with at least a decent QB and he will shine

Yeah Mariota is horrendous...wait....
