I believe you are correct, but I think their teams only met one time, 2016 when Fuente was HC (and still is) at Virginia Tech, it was Fuente's first year at VT, and he took the school to a Bowl game that year. He career record speaks volumes about his coaching ability. He is a real football coach, anyway you slice it. He may not be the right choice for UT, my overall point is, there are a lot of High Quality Football Coaches in the USA, just because they haven't coached in the SEC, does not mean they can't coach, and win in the SEC. Bringing up Fuente (I think his overall PCT winning ain't bad, and as HC about half the time he gets his school to a bowl game) is just one name, but I'm sure you get my point. Our next coach needs to be a seasoned winning Football coach, and he doesn't have to be from an SEC school. The SEC is without a doubt the 'Cadillac' of all the conferences, but not as much as we use to be. It used to be, the worst team in the SEC could whip the hell out of any sunbelt, or WAC, or PAC team, etc., GS showed us that train has left the station.
