Just saw that JHunter

Justin hunter is to WR's in physical characteristics what Shaq had for centers. He is an absolute physical freak. He will out jump anyone in the draft, out run 95% of people, and he will catch just fine.

Has he sucked it up this year compared to what we thought? Yeah. for sure. But he's still head and shoulders the best WR measurable wise in america. There are few NFL teams if any that wouldn't take him right now.
Which is most likely to blame for his play. Back when news of him beating EB on a few routes this summer broke was the beginning of the end. We just did not know it yet. We misread it as we were going to have a great year on RockyTop. Ha! Jokes on us. Next year I bet he scores 11 touchdowns and is rookie of the year.

He's averaging 3 rec and 40 yards per game. He has a very long way to go in order to be a good wide receiver.

Also, as "terrible" as JH has been, he has almost 250 yards more receiving than CP thus far.

well, what can you expect.Hunter gets the ball thrown to him 60% more.

Shaq (ala JH) just had the ball wrestled out of his hands at the most crucial time in the game with 30+ seconds left to win. That's right - a 5' 10" DB out-wrestled JH, a 6' 4" WR for the game winning drive. CP, Z Ro and most certainly Da-Idiot would have caught the ball and we may have gone on to win.

I'm glad we have people who don't understand comparisons and analogies.

name the last WR in college that was as fast and athletic as him. as in, could compete on the olympic level.

I'll wait.

Dwight howard already has better measurables then shaq and that was just a few years after. Will Hunter be as dominant in his sport as him? no chance in hell. the types are too different. But Shaq also had zero work ethic whatsoever and wasted a chance to be one of the 3 greatest of all time.

But go on not understanding that the comparison was "we don't see many guys like this in college or the NFL" just like in college or the NBA you don't see guys built like shaq was. Miss the point completely and try and hate on dooley and our players some more.

The return game in the nfl is coming nonexistant. With the new rules, nfl kickers kick it through the endzone nearly every time. Hunter, at this point is a much better pure receiver than CP.

Hunter is a great athlete but he is too soft right now for the NFL. Every time he makes a catch he goes to the ground if a defender is present rather than fight for additional yardage.

It doesn't matter if your 40 time is 4 flat. It doesn't matter if you can jump over buildings. It doesn't matter if you can make it to the olympics. As a wide receiver what matters is catching the ball. He has an abundance of drops this year. You can keep drooling over his measurables. I will continue to be pissed about the waste of his physical tools.

Exactly. He's playing to protect his draft status and not get hurt. Not a team guy IMO.

Patterson is by FAR the only WR that is ready for the NFL. I hope he stays one more year but I doubt seriously he will. Hunter? You must be kidding. He has butter on his hands. Undrafted free agent.
