Just lost 3 commits

By my theory, they can come on here and read all the negative crap about them when they have a bad game. By my theory, they read all the comments about all our coaches need firing (Jones, Debord, Shoop, and Strength and conditioning coach) My theory is that they read all of this and think we have problems and run the other direction.

Rethink your theory. Try visiting a handful of message boards/fan forums from any school, from any power 5 conference....you pick em. Then get back with us on what you find.

Tennessee has an outstanding, knowledgeable and very passionate fanbase, one of the very best in the country......and its much more likely to be one of the more prominent reasons that a player commits to the Vols, not the other way around.

Gaddys go to a good academic school, have the rest of this semester left, all of next semester, but have already been ruled out for academic reasons?

I think CJ was told to look else where but I have my doubts about the Gaddy brothers academic claims.

2014 class has lost a ton of recruits, 2015 has lost a couple as well while the majority of the big names haven't been developed, we got stomped by Bama, lost to a terrible USCe team, and lost to Vandy.

As much as I want Butch to succeed it seems like the writing is on the wall.

Agree! People don't understand the crap we spew does NO good for anyone. Who could blame our coach if he leaves. If it were to happen, we're in trouble! People complain about the bowl game we will go to. If we run him off, I'm thinking we won't have to worry about going to a bowl game next year, possibly the year after that! I would suggest people go out and read other message boards and compare to us. NO COMPARISON! Any coach (based on volnation) should think twice about coming here. Before you trash talk me, look at all the thread titles on volnation. Pitiful!!:no::no:
I can't wait to read the thread that Butch is gone, until he's gone we will be a bad football team. Butch is just a bad coach in way over his head. We will be a good program again when we spend money on a real coach. Kids don't come here now because they can see he doesn't know how to develop the talent they bring.

We had more recruits than positions available and we will be getting new-better players between now and February. Just making room.

I very seriously doubt that two DT recruits were lined up behind the Gaddy brothers that are better. That was a major blow to this recruiting class.

I tried this logic for a long time with both Fulmer and Dooley. Call me stubborn I guess.

But I finally learned it doesn't hold water. Jones' performance, not complaints about it, are the TANGIBLE reasons kids may not want to play for him. He isn't developing talent. Too many talented guys are getting hurt and in many cases seeing their NFL prospects lost to injury. And then.... Jones just doesn't get it done on gameday. He makes inexplicably boneheaded decisions and his ingame strategy simply stinks.

This is what I want to know. A lot of the writers keep mentioning how this isn't recruits jumping ship. They try to make it sound like this is just part of us having too many recruits and need to make room. That only makes sense if we're losing low ranked guys, not 4*'s.

If they go the JUCO route, as many think they will, we will have another shot at them in the future.

Yep. Math not quite adding up.

Actually they're saying it was grades for the Gaddy boys (which was a package deal from the start) and the other made it pretty obvious he was asked to look around

Ole Miss lost a recruit...Bama lost a recruit...Florida lost a recruit...

Tis the season (through signing day) for kids to change their minds...

Relax...for those wanting a new coach losing recruits is a good thing...a couple subpar classes and we can be back to the 5-7 by 2018 or 2019 and have a new coach...

You all can thank the media and threads on this board for all this. What parents would want their kids to come here when all folks do is spew negativity all over the place?

Well said! We have some of the dumbest, fence sitting fans that any one program could have. These recruits commit to a coaching staff, not a school. Run their coaches off, the recruits look elsewhere.

We are going to replace them with 5*s :eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

All 3 of my daughters are growing up to be independent little fireballs. They aren't going to give the first freaking crap what keyboard warriors say or let Twitter/Facebook ruin their lives. If these kids are looking elsewhere because they are upset over some of us not being cool with losing to Vandy and South Carolina and having a coach that can't get it done then they should go elsewhere.

I want tough kids with good hearts. You can have both. If they are "run off" because they don't like what we say about the COACHES on a freaking message board they don't need to be here anyway IMO. I'm never going to get on here and bash a kid for his play style when he's in college. But coaches are fair game. However, if a kid doesn't come here due to what they read by an anonymous poster on a message board I say that's someone you don't need anyway. There needs to be a level of toughness and prove them wrong mentality. Not run away because you don't like what someone says about a coach.

My ilk are saying that recruiting is tanking and logic would concur. I'll be happy to wait and see there too. I'll still wager I'm right on all three.... wanna take it?
One of your brilliant brethren of hate stated that recruits don't care what's said on sites like this.
I responded with fact that a recruit said that it does indeed impact recruiting.
You then changed the subject because you and your ilk are wrong again.
That's how it happened.

Another what? Callahan and Fort have both said it's grades yet you claim it's something else. Do you know more about ut recruiting than them or do you just not believe them? Your posts directly contradict what they say. But keep avoiding the thread topic of you wish.

That's what they do pj. Facts scare the ignorant among us. Always have and always will.

And I'm sure Butch Jones losing 2 games to 2 bad SEC teams, losing by 40 points to Alabama at home, not playing in the SECCG (again), 2 five star players quitting mid season and being a national laughingstock because of his Champions of Life comment had nothing to do with it.

Here he is folks. The king of change the subject. Did he or anyone else EVER say losing hasn't hurt?
But you and your bilge spillers spew garbage all over the net. Posts/tweets from you ilk get used in article after article that continues to make all Vol fans look like idiots.
Recruits have stated THEM SELVES what's said on social media has an impact.
Facts again avoid you and your followers.
I'm surprised you're not agreeing here. I mean if we get more top recruits you can have more players to "recommend transfer" like you do.

Big time recruits don't go where coaches go for it on 4th and whatever, where the receiver runs out of bounds without being touched short of the marker evidently to stop the clock.

The best we can hope for is for the next QB to be another astrophysics major and distract the sportscasters.

Safety is the only position group on D with proven talent. TKjr, Berry, Warrior, Abernathy, and Griffin have all played pretty well. It could happen... I've learned not to overestimate Jones... but moving Jennings to S would be pretty stupid considering the needs at WR.
