Exactly when did Tennessee "give up?" Ohio State caught them with plenty of time on the clock. If the Vols had quit, they would have gotten beaten by 10+. A truly ridiculous assertion. This season was not a success. WE lost. I was very excited throughout most of this season, but last night just took the air right out of my sail. WE had that game, but we let them off the hook. I will be the first-ever BP critic on here: why did your team play so poorly the second have, how can you fix the countless mistakes(turnovers, fouls, bad-looks, etc) your team made last night, and why did your team give up last night?
That was also my expectation... somewhere around 17-19 wins and on the bubble. Needless to say, those expectations were met and thensome. Next year will be a lot of fun. That, along with just how good this season was, will become more clear as the sting of this loss wears off I believe.I am proud of the team. This is a team that I thought coming into the season was an NCAA bubble team at best and I would've been pleased if I'd been told before the season (or even when we were 2-4 & 3-5 in the conference) that this was a Sweet Sixteen team.

i was definitely happy, but i also knew that OSU had a run in them. i in no way thought we had that game at half time.Hat at halftime did you think we had so much momentum we would take this game or did you feel more nervous because we were up?
this is a bit ridiculous. we didn't let them off the hook, as i watched the game, i saw OSU assert itself on the defensive side and i also saw Thad Matta use Gregg Oden superbly down the stretch on the defensive side of the ball. that was one of the best basketball games i've seen, period. After OSU got back in it, we answered every time OSU took the lead or hit a big shot. we did not lose this game because of lack of efforr or an over abundance of mistakes. there were mistakes, and i'll show you four freshman that played thru out the game that will make mistakes at times. as they get older and more experience, they'll get better. they did nothing to not make me proud as hell of them. This season was not a success. as usual.I sometimes wonder if people realize just how big a step forward we have taken. Forget the trainwrecks of the Buzz Peterson years . . . Pre - Bruce Pearl we had only won 8 NCAA tournament games in the entire history of the program.
Exactly. The only thing more ridiculous than the assertion that we quit last night is the moron sitting behind me last night who kept talking about how he could make all the free throws we missed. The only thing we gave up last night is any hope that we can sneak up on anybody ever again. I think the cat is permanently out of the bag when it comes to Tennessee basketball.
