i think ballpark, texas size is a good guess. i've heard the entire north face will be screen - no significant metal siding or trim. also remember someone say they'd heard they would have to extend the metal frame a bit though i can't remember the details.

im not for sure, but as i was walking by the stadium yesterday, it looked as though they had finally turned the jumbotron off. it might have just been in sleep mode, but it looked duller yesterday.

The Daily Beacon: Use of jumbotron faces criticism

Here are a couple of quotes from the article on the status of the jumbotron.

“The jumbotron is the last one of its size and make,” she said. “Replacement parts aren’t available. It must stay on until the spring game and then it will be turned off for good.”

Carpenter said the athletics department said they are looking for a new jumbotron for the upcoming football season. Carpenter said IMG is in the process of purchasing a new board for football season that will be able to turn on and off.

She said the new one will be off when not in use. She also said the new jumbotron will only be in use for events going on in the stadium or for recruits.

Can you imagine how lit up the stadium is going to be with this jumbotron? The LED screens around the upper deck overhang lit up the stadium enough as is but this is just gonna be sick!
