Josh Malone Exploring Entering Draft

He's projected to go in the 5-7 range this year & we have a more accurate QB taking the helm next year. I think he will stay, JMO.

Through the years, I have seen players projected to go in a certain round but on draft day, they fell tremendously.
Not a very far drop from 5th - 7th round to undrafted.
Not far at all....

Actually, the popcorn degree that most of these football players earn yield low-paying "professional" jobs, if they are able to get one at all. A degree in mass communications get you a framed piece of paper, that's about it.

The NCAA selling a "degree" to these kids in exchange for basically their life/freedom over the next 4 years is a crock. And the NCAA is making big money off of these boys. Pretty sad really.

So it's the NCAAs fault that kids are greased through the school system before they even get to college? No, it's people like the gun totting barber who devalue education and sell them wolf tickets about 'making it to the league'. I would say your misfire on why education is not held at a premium is part of the problem, but I can't imagine many kids listen to an ironic hipster that equates a college education to slavery.

Let me guess if you work for a company that was formed long before you existed and will be there long after you were gone, you think you deserve some sort of astronomical compensation. Amirite?

I love Malone especially since he's a local kid from close to me.

Reality is he's not yet "NFL Tough" and he may never develope that kill instinct to go up and really fight to take the ball like JJ does.

I honestly believe he needs another year and he needs to work his butt off to get stronger and to learn to play tougher, fight for the ball and use his body much better to block out the DB's he's fighting against.

If he decides to leave early then I wish him all the best and I'll pray he's not making a huge mistake that will lose him many Millions of $$$.

VFL...GBO!!!

He is gone....with the way the NFL is now where a WR cannot be touched after 5 yards he will be just fine...this year was great for him and he finished with a huge game....go get paid Josh!

Malone does not yet have the polish to be a high-round pick. He might be a late-round pick. Playing WR in the NFL is tough and very competitive. There are a lot of good ones in the league and free agents trying to make it in the NFL or make it back to the NFL. Patterson certainly had no polish at all as a WR, but has made it as a kick returner mostly. Malone won't have that going for him.
