The passer is seating the bench. Dobbs would make a great reciever imoThings on this board would be a lot different today if Josh didn't fumble the ball which let Florida back into the game or miss a wide open receiver on the left sideline that would have been a touchdown. People keep griping about not going downfield but Josh hasn't shown he can complete one when he's been give the opportunity.
How do you down a guy that just led his team in passing, receiving, and rushing? And that behind one of the weakest offensive lines in the country. He has about two seconds to unload the ball on a pass play. Also is playing for the worst OC in the country. Debord will be gone before the end of the season. Mark it down.
No coach makes Dobbs overthrow deep balls. He is a great guy and proud to have him, but he is the man with the ball and he is not getting it done in the passing game. If he was accurate on his passes he would be an All-American but right now he is just a running back.i don't think it's Dobbs who is killing our passing game. I think it's Azzani! Another poster in another thread showed where schools he left, their passing game inproved dramatically overnight. Check his history. He is the culprit, not Dobbs. Notice how our wr's talent falls off after being here? North was a great freshman.....as was a few other guys early on like Pig, Croom, Von......then they got Azzani'd! lol

If I was Dobbs, in the fourth qtr, when they called the play from the sideline I would then say "Ok here is what we are really gonna do"! I seriously doubt he would be benched for that!
.[/But what if they called a pass play & he checked out of it. Dobbs is a warrior but his passing has not improved and he doesn't seem very confident on passing this year.

He's not been given a chance this year to show whether or not he can "get it done in the passing game". He completed 63% of his passes last year and we were told that DeBord had significantly improved Dobbs' footwork/ mechanics /accuracy. So what the hell has happened? He looked fine throwing the ball vs both BGSU and WCU so why have they supposedly lost all confidence in him to throw the ball in "real games". Something else has to be at play here. Wish I knew what it was.
Dobbs inability to consistently throw an accurate football has severely handi capped Deboards offense. Dormady needs to get a look, because if we can't generate some kind of passing game we will be lucky to win 6 games. There was a reason Justin worley was the starting quarterback to begin last season, and the reason was Dobbs is not very good at throwing the football.
Dobbs is doing well enough for us to have won OK and FL games. Play calling is limiting what he can do for us. He is not the most accurate QB we've ever had but he is good enough to throw down field if they allow him to. I wonder if they teach him to read defenses or just run plays ? It has been reported that he has no check options at the line or scrimmage. His worst problem is fumbling.
Most of us could complete a pass against WCU
