Josh Dobbs to Justin Hunter

You're alone on this one. Dobbs arm strength is actually one of things that has impressed the Steelers in camp so far. Its been ELITE.

Laughable to say Dobbs arm is average let alone below average.

Elite??? Dude I can sit here and name probably 20 QBs in the NFL whose arm strength is better than Dobbs.

How did rest of game go for Dobbs?
Fair...looked like panthers DB's were covering steeler receivers real well and I saw Dobb's attempting to force the ball into some tight spots. These are players trying to make the cut coming up this week. Cam Sutton finally played after having hamstring trouble. Cam and Josh will likely have a few years with the steelers but I'm not sure about Hunter. Gonna be a close call.

But how many NFL QBs coulda made that game-winning TD run in the final seconds beating a safety to the edge for a TD AND that 58 yard TD pass on a dime? I'll save you the time and tell you it aint many.

Not many QBs in the NFL have Dobbs combination of athleticism and deep ball passing ability. Stop expecting him to be perfect. He's not and neither is any other QB. What he might lack in terms of consistent pinpoint accuracy on short to intermediate routes he more than makes up with in terms of his running ability and deep ball passing ability.

Josh Dobbs will be a Randall Cunningham-esque player in the NFL. He ain't gonna be dink and dunk accurate short and intermediate passer. Dobbs will make his money by being an incredible deep ball passer and scrambler like Cunningham in his prime. And if you pair Dobbs with elite talent on offense like Cunningham had in Minnesota then he too can put up MVP caliber numbers and lead a team to being a super bowl favorite.
He best get to being a good accurate passer on the short and intermediate routes if he wants to play with the big boys on Sundays. That was his problem at UT and it still is. The term isINCONSISTENT fyi.

I guess you really want to do this. Ok guys who could have made that run: Newton, Prescott, Rodgers, Winston, Mariota, Wilson, Geno Smith, Alex Smith, Roethlisberger, Brees, Tyrod Taylor and Kaepernick.

Which QBs could have made that TD pass? Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Ryan, Flacco, Roethlisberger, Wilson, Prescott, Osweiler, Siemian, Luck, Stafford, Bradford, Sanchez, Winston, Newton, Mariota, Cousins, Hoyer, Cutler, Fitzpatrick, Wentz, Palmer, Rivers, Dalton, McCarron, Brees, Alex Smith, Tannehill, Garoppolo and Foles.

Dobbs throw was nice but nothing real special in the NFL.

Steelers just traded away Coates, so the chances if Justin making this roster just increased by a lot.

READING COMPREHENSION FAIL.

I said who could make that run AND that throw. So you're gonna need to take names like Manning and Brady out of there cause they can't run. And honestly you're overrating the athleticism of some of the guys you said could make that run. Guys like Dak Prescott and Jameis Winston aren't exactly explosive runners. Check their numbers from the combine. Dak is more of a power runner. And Jameis has decent mobility in the pocket but his 4.9 40 speed ain't beating any safeties to the edge.

Dobbs combination of athleticism and deep ball accuracy is rare. There are probably less than 5 QBs that could make BOTH the TD run and the TD pass he made. Guys like Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and possibly Marcus Mariota (though I do question Mariota's arm strength).

I'll add in Taysom Hill and Joe Callahan.

What is even better is that the Steelers got rid of a Clemson WR because the Tennessee WR was deemed more valuable.

Wide Receiver U still looking down on Wannabe Receiver U

Sammie Coates went to Auburn.

Derek Barnett - 2nd team DE
Alvin Kamara - 3rd team
Joshua Dobbs - 3rd team
Josh Malone - 2nd team
Jalen Reeves-Maybin - 2nd team
Cam Sutton - IR. Made team by a thread

This is the great draft picks. Don't expect much from any of them when it counts.
