Josh Dobbs - NFL Draft thread (merged)

My predictions were no better than anyone else's yesterday.

That was about as unpredictable a 1st round as there has ever seen. Practically no mock draft got more than 3-4 picks right.

Other than Garrett to the Browns, Fournette to the Jags, and McCaffrey to the Panthers, almost every other pick was a surprise.

I'm still 100℅, just sayin.

Just my opinions so far...

# 1 dumbest move...Chitcago giving up way too many picks to move up 1 spot to take a totally unproven QB that should have been a 2nd round pick at best.

# 2 dumbest moves...Considering that none of this years QB's were really 1st round talents it was really dumb for any team to pass up really good players just to take a QB in round 1.

I think my Titans got the best WR in this draft, hope he turns into a Pro-Bowler.

I think my Titans got a really good DB, little small but a freak athlete that might win a medal in the Olympics and can actually play several positions including Special Teams and could be used on some plays on the O if needed.

It's going to be really interesting to see what our Hall of Fame D coordinator does with this kid.

So far I have to give my Titans a solid A for their 2 picks.

I think DB was taken a bit late but I'm a Vol homer and a bit biased but I think he should have been a top 10 pick, glad he's going to make $$$, sad he got stuck in Philly despite that being where Reggie also started out.

I hope the early, but dumb, run on QB's helps Dobbs move up so he'll earn more $$$ and I hope he gets with the right team that can give him the time to grow into his potential before throwing him into the fire.

I may be LMAO at the total ignorance of the Chitcago trade for years to come...what on Earth were they thinking?

LMAO!!!

And happy that he was still there at 6.

I was hoping the Titans would take him at 5, but I'm good with Davis, even if it was probably a little high to get him. At the end of the day, the Titans badly needed a top flight WR and, by most accounts, they got the best one in the draft.

Corey Davis is one of the 2 or 3 best players in this draft. That was not too high for him. I gotta give the Titans GM credit cause that was one of the best picks in the first round.

I know better than them when it comes to who will be the better pro. That's the limit of my gift.

When it comes to predicting what GMs will do, I'm mortal like everyone else.

I sincerely hope you are kidding..maybe you don't know how to use the blue font option? You have said and "predicted" some of the most ridiculous crap I have ever heard!

I'm forced to agree with you on this point.

I think there's still a huge upside potential for both of the Titans 1st round picks.

Time will tell but I seriously believe both of these players will produce big results during their 1st contracts provided they stay healthy and put in the solid work.

Randall Cunningham was a 2-time MVP (1990 and 1998). He was First Team All-Pro twice (1990 and 1998). He was Second Team All-Pro twice as well (1988 and 1992). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randall_Cunningham

I would personally think 2 MVP awards and 4 All-Pro selections for Josh would be a great career.
hopefully Dobbs gets better coaching. Randall was pretty much just told to go do his thing every week.

Lol.

This is very entertaining.

"Here's what you been waiting for, my gift in action. Save this post fellas"

"Well, I didn't say I was infallible "

"Watch how good my draft predictions turn out".

Its like carrying on a conversation with an 8 year old

That he was better than (fill in the blank). That he would win the Heisman or at least be there. That he would lead UT to a SEC championship.

In virtually every way you could have been wrong... you were wrong. We're all pretty used to it.... as well as your backpeddling and denial when you are called out on being wrong.

The "facts" you posted are nice... but weren't your predictions.

That's interesting... better than Jamaal Lewis, Jason Witten, Peerless Price, Al Wilson, Peyton Manning, Chad Clifton (2 pro bowls), Eric Berry, Jerod Mayo (2 time pro-bowler, rookie of the year), Ju'waun James (3 year NFL starter), Zach Fulton (NFL starter)...

It is difficult to say whether your general ignorance of college football or specific ignorance of UT football is more impressive.

Dobbs is a great guy and was a good college QB. He's not the best player UT has produced in the last 20 years by a very, very long shot.

He's only qualified for 27.5 months of UT history and pronounced his namesake as trash last September. He is an authority on nothing.

there's going to be several teams that may look back at this draft and wonder wth were we thinking, given some of the talent that was taken later in this draft.
