Josh Dobbs - NFL Draft thread (merged)

Not at all. If someone figures out what prevents him from using his accuracy to put the ball where it needs to be... he'll be a great NFL QB. My doubts are based on the fact that he has worked his tail off for 4 years trying to correct them... and they were still a significant problem this past fall. It is difficult to describe in short hand... but his timing and anticipation are off. You simply can't survive in the NFL without those things. You can have an average arm... if you can put the ball in a small window.

You are correct. I won't debate that. However, when the ball is in his hands, special things happen. The kid is a playmaker. Some things aren't tangible. That is a risk worth taking to me.

What happened to lucky number 38??

Dobbs is the greatest.
Dobbs is trash.
Dobbs is the greatest.
Dobbs will go 1st round.
Dobbs will go 38th.
Dobbs won't fall past the 2nd.
Dobbs will go 135th minutes before the pick.

D4H probably thinks he nailed it though.

Guess who just became a steelers fan after being a Browns fan since 1988? I'm not going sit here and watch Josh embarrass me again because the Browns were not smart enough to figure it out.

Anyone heard from the poster who has been yapping the last couple weeks about Peterman getting drafted before Dobbs? Bet he is considering another name change.

Tomlin is a great talent evaluator. Once Dobbs gets some practice snaps in, Tomlin will quickly realize Dobbs should start over Ben. Obviously.

I guess he's just going to supplant a HOF QB in his prime? Dobbs only plays if Ben gets hurt, which may happen. It's the only reason Dak played last year too.

Big Ben always gets hurt. He's just tough so he comes back soon. He better not miss more than a few snaps next year or Dobbs will take his job.

Look guys. If Dobbs isn't good in the NFL I'll admit I was wrong about him. But falling in the draft proves nothing. Many great NFL players get picked 4th round or later.

Once again Dak went 135 overall last year and look how he turned out. Jared Goff went #1 overall last year and look how he turned out.

I'm confident wherever Josh goes he'll be a STAR.

Keep pointing out the exception.

Hmmmm....thrilled that Dobbs went to the Steelers with Tomlin, great situation for him.

Remind me.....which round was that again that he went in??

None of that matters now. He's in the perfect situation. And like Dak he will make the most of it and become a superstar.
