Josh Dobbs (merged)

I don't get frustrated. If you knew what I know, you would know the universe will always have its way. So I don't get mad when things don't go as I expect or want. I just take it as a sign that either I'm not ready or I was going in the wrong direction.

I never get frustrated.

Considering the enormous amount of time you spend in the boldened perhaps you should strive for being less patient with your failure and work harder at developing an approach that more often results in correct results from the outset. A sanguine approach to poor performance in anything is pretty unhealthy.

I don't spin. I've been consistent from Day 1.

You guys will learn soon enough that I was right all along. Just have patience. Dobbs has 20 years of amazing football in front of him.

Just know that everything I've been saying comes to a position of absolute confidence. Please don't think I've lucked my way into this prediction when Dobbs becomes exactly what I've been saying he would be for over 3 years.

20 more years would make him by far the longest tenured QB. 22 years is a crazy stupid long time.

Actually, he's specifically predicting that the Steelers would keep Dobbs on the roster "through the weekend" to "gauge his trade value." He's still suggesting that Dobbs won't be on the roster for long.

Either way, he's wrong. The Steelers know his trade value. It's becoming even more crystalized with the Hundley and Bridgewater trades. Holding onto Dobbs for an extra week won't make him any more valuable, and the Steelers would be running the risk of losing a reserve lineman or tailback that they're going to need down the road. Mike Tomlin made it pretty clear that the odds of keeping 4 QBs are really low:

On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked if he would be open to keeping all four of his quarterbacks on the team's 53-man roster.

“You’re certainly capable of it," Tomlin said. "If you look at what happens in the National Football League, it’s been done. But in today’s NFL, two are probably kept more times than four. It’s probably less frequent than two at this juncture.”

Once again, I have never claimed to know what the Steelers are gonna do. Their actions thus far lead me to believe they will do something stupid like trade away Dobbs to keep trash QBs like Landry Jones and Mason Rudolph on the roster.

You are the one that has said repeatedly that keeping 4 QBs was IMPOSSIBLE. I am only posting these links to show that media guys connected with the team are actually kicking it around as a possibility. So your position that it is IMPOSSIBLE is wrong. The fact Tomlin even says its something they would be open to even though it is unlikely lets me know you were wrong to act like you knew beforehand that its an impossibility.

Once again, I would prefer the Steelers trade Dobbs cause they have been disrespectful to him. But I can see a scenario in which they keep him on the roster along with the other 3 QBs.

Did I say it was "impossible"? I don't believe I did. In fact, the only time I used that word was here:

It's not impossible. It's just horrendous roster management.

Ah, so it was the universe that wanted you to be exposed for lying about attending Duke.

Damn. Ya'll are really hung up on that? You do know I don't even consider going to Duke to be that big of a deal. If I even applied myself halfway in high school, I wouldn't have been wait listed at Harvard and Yale and would have gotten in easily. I got into Duke without even trying.

Josh Dobbs will retire from the NFL in 2038. And he will be the first player in NFL history to be inducted into the Hall of Fame ONE YEAR after he retires. The NFL will change their 5 year wait rule just for Dobbs and he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2039.

Indeed.

No troll. I've been very consistent in saying Josh Dobbs will go down as the GREATEST player in NFL history. Just as the NHL changed the rules for Wayne Gretzky when it came to waiting to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, the NFL will do the same for Dobbs when his career is over.

He will leave a legacy in the NFL equivalent to Jordan in the NBA and Gretzky in the NHL.

Once again, I have never claimed to know what the Steelers are gonna do.

Are you aware how often, including just in the last week, you've predicted what Dobbs was going to do as a Steeler? How could you possibly not be claiming to know what they were going to do yet make such predictions?

BW was right awhile back...you really need to go in for a CAT scan.

Again Mr. Duke Education, YOUR link clearly says even if they keep 4 QBs it would be through the weekend. You're celebrating scoring a TD in the last 2:00 of the game down 49-7. You're clearly ignoring this part.

Troll better.

This is what you said in Post 1,246 of this thread:

There is absolutely no scenario in which the Steelers will keep 4 QBs. You might as well argue for the possibility that the sun is going to rise in the West tomorrow morning.

"absolutely no scenario" sounds a lot like impossible.

Unless of course you are now gonna argue that the sun will rise from the West tomorrow?

I coulda swore you said something along those lines. Cause my argument was always I have no idea what the Steelers will do while you acted like you knew.

Well except the past 2 years when you've laid out exact scenarios of what the Steelers will do with Dobbs and how he'll lead them to at least 4 Super Bowls and be the starter by the end of 2017...wait make that 2018 when you changed it....wait make that 2019 because you changed it again.

Lol come on man....when you make posts like this I know you're just admitting you're a troll. Free thyself!

LOL! C'mon man, he's just having to quintuple down on stupid because a lot of his predictions are having their timelines shortening up and he's got nothing to lose by going crazy at this point. It's actually quite funny really.

No, you're trolling.

You don't actually believe this, you're just saying this because 3 years ago you decided to hitch your wagon to Dobbs and wanted to get credit for calling that he would do something big like win a Heisman or lead the Vols to National Championships. None of that happened, not even close. He didn't even make All-American.

You have nowhere else to go and nothing left to lose so you're just throwing hail marys. And so far, just like Dobb's college career, you've been nothing but wrong about his NFL career. He wasn't a 1st round draft pick, he didn't go to your first 4-5 "perfect teams", he didn't take over for the Steelers in 2017 and win ROTY, and it's pretty clear he's not going to do it this year, and pretty clear he's not in their long term starter plans.

If you actually believe any of the outrageous stuff you post, then you are quite frankly one of the most delusional people that follows organized sports.

Sorry that your Duke education doesn't allow for the obvious reading of reason in my post. Yes, it's entirely possible that the Earth could spin the opposite direction on it's axis, and the sun will rise in the West tomorrow. But given that it won't happen, I'm not concerned with that possibility.

Nice to see D4H still living rent free in everyone's heads lol. I still say D4H is a 400lb woman living in a Midwestern trailer park and this is the highlight of her day

Let's not confuse trolling a troll with having someone live in your head. If anyone is taking him seriously at this point* then yeah...that'd be bad.

*Did you see where he predicted Dobbs would be so dominant the NFL was going to change the HOF rules to allow him first year retired induction? Awesome!

By your logic, anyone responding to him is living in your head rent free, since guys like you keep coming back to make these comments.

Exactly. He's a troll that's allowed to keep running around doing the same thing, so might as well have fun with him. If someone doesn't like the thread he posts in, stay out of it.
