He compared Crompton's 06 and 08 seasons, and said that Clawson made him worse. He also compared the 07 offensive stats with 08's. Basically the same things we hear on the boards.

One thing I found interesting was when he said he had no allegiance to the University of Tennessee, but to Philip Fulmer because he gave him a chance. He also metioned how the AD and university are separate, so the university didn't give him his scholarship. He claimed that Fulmer never mentioned representing the university, but to represent your family and fellow players (difficult to believe).

It was upsetting to hear how he basically didn't care about the fans, but only cared about his family and teammates. He mentioned the boos and how he thought it made us lose "dang good recruits".

The different perspectives were interesting to compare throughout the conversation. His opinion is that CDC ruined the season and that the fans ruined the recruiting class. Not so sure if I agree, but we have to respect his opinion since he actually played on the team.

Feel free to ask any questions.
He's only partially right. The fact of the matter is, the team no longer had discipline. IMO, the only reason they ever did was because of Cutcliffe. These guys should know better than to bad mouth coaches - former or current. I don't care if it's public or private. It shows a lack of discipline and that's one thing that we sorely lacked last year.

Tell Briscoe that regardless of how he may feel about the fanbase, that fans still appreciate the fact that he was and always will be a Vol. Just because he acts like an ass doesn't mean we should.

Tell that giggling has been that I said he can go f himself or get Fulmer to help him if he can't figure out how to do it. That would be keeping it in the family right? This is exactly why Briscoe will end up a shift leader at Shoney's and Fulmer's unemployed butt can visit him daily.

The University provides your education, albiet in this case they've failed, and my donation to the VASF put his sorry unproductive giggling girl butt through school.

Players are tought not to care what the fans say or think.....if they do that it leads to a disaster

He also wants us all to know that he will be on the radio w/ Dave Hooker Wednesday around noon, so he can clear up whatever I have said.

Not in Knoxville so someone listen and post what he says on the radio. It may be on GVX afterward now that I think about it.

Him going on the radio is bold......you got to admit that, he will burn some bridges with that.

I would be shocked if he came even close to slamming Clawson like he apparently has on the net.

We all know that CDC was not the reason for the team going 5-7.

did you tell him that he's now going to live a miserable life of damnation and suffering because he was SOOOOO critical of the University.

be sure to wish him luck in ever needing help from anybody who was ever associated with the University.

Maybe Hook will pull the mike away from him just before he speaks and then shout "it don't matter what you think"!

Just further proof of the atmosphere of zero accountability that was fostered under the previous regime...

And I understand you saying that we should respect his opinion because he was actually on the team....but all I'm seeing here is a player emulating his coach....

He didn't produce, he didn't live up to expectations but instead of looking in the mirror what does he do...he looks for someone to throw under the bus...

Fulmer always prided himself in teaching his players to be men....well, in that case he's the only person I know who thinks being a man consists of blaming others when you fail

Wow...what a jerk! How many passes did he drop in games? He needs to look at himself when he talks about this.

Wasn't it Stephens that chewed him out on the sidelines for laughing?
