Biscoe is a goof...however, he is correct. Clawson ruined whatever chance we had at an offense as soon as he messed with the offensive line and had them playing every position on the field.

I'm not sure if it's been brought to your attention, but Josh Briscoe was a senior this past season.

It appeared all year the players didn't know where the play was going. If your "offense" is not being run, run what can be handled by the players.

Briscoe was a waste of a scholarship. Dave Clawson landed a head coaching gig. Josh Briscoe will land an assistant manager position at arby's if he's lucky.

Briscoe's playing days are over...we will have freshmen that will come in and start over him...the only reason he ever played was because Fulmer played those who had been in the program longer...

Briscoe was a prime example of the failures of the previous S&C program. He still looked like a skinny freshman last year.

We are talking this out. He's making some valid points, but I still find it hard to believe that our losing season was Dave Clawson's fault. Oh well.

Let us know what he says. I don't blame him. Clawson's offense was atrocious. Briscoe is not one who should be talking, but he's still right.

I think it was a pot that had already boiled over once in 2005... clawson was just thrown in.

Coleman certainly didn't have a lot of bad things to say about Clawson's offense. I know I'm not a player, and I'm merely a person at a computer which is hardly much to brag about... but I would like to have seen what Clawson's offense actually was. It's like that pretty girl that doesn't wear makeup or brush her hair is called ugly... but when she pretties herself up people are wowed. Maybe.

He compared Crompton's 06 and 08 seasons, and said that Clawson made him worse. He also compared the 07 offensive stats with 08's. Basically the same things we hear on the boards.

One thing I found interesting was when he said he had no allegiance to the University of Tennessee, but to Philip Fulmer because he gave him a chance. He also metioned how the AD and university are separate, so the university didn't give him his scholarship. He claimed that Fulmer never mentioned representing the university, but to represent your family and fellow players (difficult to believe).

It was upsetting to hear how he basically didn't care about the fans, but only cared about his family and teammates. He mentioned the boos and how he thought it made us lose "dang good recruits".

The different perspectives were interesting to compare throughout the conversation. His opinion is that CDC ruined the season and that the fans ruined the recruiting class. Not so sure if I agree, but we have to respect his opinion since he actually played on the team.
