From David Climer - "Despite starting four games as a true freshman last season due to a rash of injuries at quarterback, Dobbs was a fairly unknown commodity. He had failed to make headway last spring or in preseason practice, where he slipped behind fellow sophomore Nathan Peterman on the depth chart. He was targeted for a redshirt season."
Apparently Dobbs has not been good enough to establish himself during camp or practice. Even in this game, he turned the ball over twice. He is a good athlete but obviously in practice he has not taken the strides to separate himself from two mediocre quarterbacks. Apparently he has not risen to the top where he needs to. It is not good when your leading rusher is the QB either. I would not trust his throwing over the long haul. The coaching staff had decided to red shirt him for a reason. Once again circumstances have dictated that he play so at the moment he is the best we have. GO VOLS!
