Everyone loves a coach they can beat hands down. Saban & Dooley. Everyone hates a coach that is a problem Tenn vs. Saban/Spurrier/Myer/all of the Florida Gators.

QB keeper with Justin Worley

0-8 first time in SEC Conference play

Underutilized a future NFL star in Kamara.

Yep, sounds like he’s a lot better than Pruitt....

Underutilizing Kamara will always bother me. I liked Hurd's production, he wasn't a scrub but its no way it shouldn't been a 50:50 timeshare in 2016. I still don't know how we didn't win the East.

Today was 2nd practice. This is an off season thread.

It’s been said before. It’s anonymous. No one would claim that comment.

This whole line of thinking actually made me laugh out loud and then I couldnt stop chuckling for some time after.

Before he joined us, Pruitt was considered one of the top 5 DCs in the country and a defensive Guru from the Propst/Saban tree. He has been on 5 NC winning teams (not as an intern), a coach for Alabama, Florida State and Georgia, was 247 recruiter of the year and played at Bama. The only question anyone had of Pruitt is whether he could make the turn to be head coach, a question I think most would consider has been answered, even if the jury is still out on whether he will be a top coach or not.

Jones - a guy who did not play football, is from the Chip Kelly tree, did reasonably well coaching and recruiting in the mid-majors. No one has ever considered Jones an offensive guru. He did well in a small pond but got promoted above his ability.

The idea that these two are comparable is really a funny joke.

These "Anonymous" coaches are the figments of the Athlon writer's imagination...

They literally make up crap to try to sell magazines. They are like the National Enquirer except with less journalistic integrity...
You beat me to it BOM...Its just a hard concept for some people to understand that todays journalist (I hate assigning that name to it) both in sports and especially in the public arena simply make up stuff to pen an article. Truth is not an issue with them as a general rule. This has all the earmarks of fake journalism and its so easy to get clicks and reads just by the headline. I mean, honestly, what reputable coach would say things like this even "off the record"?

Pruitt may work out and he may not, but it’s been worth it to me just so I don’t have to watch Butch’s godforsaken, sideways running, finesse flag football offense. I think this year we may actually see an offensive line that can get a push for the first time in 7 or 8 years.
