Jones better than Pruitt From Athlon ask the coaches

This is a coach getting out recruited by Pruitt right now who’s trying to throw shade. He doesn’t really believe what he’s saying, and took the opportunity to attack when he knew it would be anonymous. I suspect it’s a coach who will out of the league in a couple of years...

I truly feel as if I lost at least 10 IQ points reading that tripe. Just a few observations .
1. Pruitt was already regarded as one of if not THE best defensive minds in the game before his hiring and is still regarded as such. Don’t believe me ? Ask Gus Malzahn. Butch Jones was known as the guy riding Brian Kelley’s coattails from job to job and to my knowledge has never been held in high regard relative to any particular position group on either side of the ball.
2. The mess Pruitt inherited with roster & culture > Mess inherited by Bi+ch
3.Coach Pruitt played the game & although a walk on @ BAMA did so @ the highest level of D1 football @ arguably the most successful program of all time . (I threw up in my mouth a little typing that)
The other guy played the flute .
4.Better recruiter ? As an assistant Pruitt won recruiter of the year honors and thus far in ‘20 has a commitment list not seen around here in 20 years give or take . The other guy relied on a few years of extremely strong legacy players AND maxed out commitment numbers to assemble a few good classes full of guys that he didn’t know how to coach culminating in the worst season of Tennessee football .

I think it's nonsense... However JP is staring down a schedule that could easily end up 5-5 if we have the same poor QB play we've seen. Hopefully that doesn't happen but that would be a tough pill to swallow in year 3
