I always try to be positive about Tennessee but anymore...the people that try to run this University is mind boggling. How can someone from the outside really give a crap about Tennessee like Fulmer or Blackburn? If not for already donating I would really be considering not. As donors we should get a vote in this thing because those idiots there can't make an obvious decision. Tennessee has wasted thousands of dollars on making a no brainer decision and still messed it up. Tired of Tennessee pissing our funds away on garbage.

Okay, I think I know why I'm not that excited about this.
I see nothing wrong with Currie at all, it just seems he will be known for managing the finances well and making sure everything runs okay.

I had grown accustomed to the idea of having someone that would come in and shake things up a bit. Feels like we've been stuck in the middle at so many sports, I was just wanting a little risk-taking. Which can also fail. Don't get me wrong. I just believe we needed a kick in the azz, not just steady management.

So nothing against him and hope it works out.

Blackburn is a lesser version of Currie - Tennessee roots, successful as associate AD and moved to another job as head AD to get experience.

Currie did it at KState. Blackburn did it at UTC.

Currie has raised literally millions of more dollars, negotiated contracts worth literally millions of more dollars, and has built facilities that cost literally millions of more dollars than Blackburn.

This is a slam dunk hire.
