To all the people complaining about poor coaching hires at K State: We won't be making hires in FB, men's/women's b-ball, or baseball for probably at least 4 years.

Frank Martin spoke to the K-State baseball team and gave them a pep talk before they played the Gamecocks this past weekend. K-State's Twitter commented positively on it, but Currie had them delete the reference since Frank Martin obviously has no relevance within K-State anymore.

I like a man who stands by his convictions; this will be a great hire.

I always try to be positive about Tennessee but anymore...the people that try to run this University is mind boggling. How can someone really give a crap about Tennessee like Fulmer or Blackburn? If not for already donating I would really be considering not. As donors we should get a vote in this thing because those idiots there can't make an obvious decision. Tennessee has wasted thousands of dollars on making a no brainer decision and still messed it up. Tired of Tennessee pissing our funds away on garbage.

Haha. True, but most everybody tends to slam social media and the interwebs as wildly unreliable. Yet this cat is holding it up as the gospel. Anywho, just found it interesting.

We'll see about Currie, hope he's up for the job, I just have far less than zero confidence in anything any person of "leadership" in Knoxville says and does, from DiPietro on down, including Davenport until she proves otherwise.....no benefit of the doubt for any of them. Way too many years of experience dealing with the disappointment. Jmo.

Never underestimate UT's ability to royally screw up virtually every hire that could be made at the administrative and coaching level. The powers that be from the Governor down have no idea how to run the University but they sure as heck no how to screw things up.

Currie has raised literally millions of more dollars, negotiated contracts worth literally millions of more dollars, and has built facilities that cost literally millions of more dollars than Blackburn.
