His plan doesn't make any sense.

No action in the face of crisis is called indecisiveness.

Recruits aren't backing out because Butch is gone. They are backing out because they have no idea what's going on in Knoxville. The ship is sinking and the captain isn't getting on the intercom. Should have fired him after Bama.

As much as people love to argue about this, good companies don't let dead men wander around the halls for long, because it starts to stink. It is exactly what is happening now. Employees simultaneously employed and fired is just an awful idea to implement for more than a month.

The fire Butch mantra didn’t ramp up after the UF loss and your entire premise is false. He decommitted do to the product on the field not because his dad felt CBJ would be retained. You do understand he committed to UT while CBJ was the head coach? You don’t commit to a school hoping they will fire the head coach

The way you respond to people, you obviously have no facts on this whole situation yet you try and talk down to anyone who points out something that doesn't go with your idea

You say we have zero proof that Currie is just sitting around doing nothing, but you have zero proof that he is doing some kind of grand master plan on the next coach hire

You also stated that anyone with a brain can see Jones isn't coming back, so how donyou know this?
You act as if you know without a doubt that he's gone, but where is your proof?

The complete and utter silence from Currie is more troubling than anything.

There was an article just the other day about a recruit of ours who's said he has no idea what's going on, which tells me Currie has no idea what he wants to do.

The longer this plays out, the better the chances are that Jones keeps his job, especially if he some how lucks into a bowl game

The plan is to pray hard every night Lyle can get this team to a bowl game and the. Say screw the fans, media and everyone else in the country and keep Lyle for thebwlbgtg of his contract.

If Lyle does manage 5-7 and still can’t get into a bowl then Currie goes into panic mode and we end up with a worse coach than the last 2.

I can see them keeping Jones another year. True this year has been a disappointment, however, he had shown improvement each year prior. They may think he can do what Notre Dame is doing after their 4 win season last year.

I’ll say this: if Currie was/is using his time to tell potential recruits what he plans on doing, he needs to be fired yesterday.

Let’s just the guy do his job, what do ya say? If Jones isn’t gone soon after the Vandy game, or God forbid somehow survives 2017 and is retained for 2018, I’ll be the first guy to jump in both feet calling for Currie’s (and everybody else’s) ouster up there, trust me. But imho, right now it’s just premature to say the guy is derelict in his duties and “has no plan”. Three weeks from now, however, it’ll be a completely different story.....let’s just get there and see where we are.

I'm making assumptions, you're making assumptions because there's been nothing from our administration regarding our dumpster fire football program.

We can't have a championship program unless we have a championship administration.

Yep it makes sense to fire a coach after losing to a school you have beaten once in the last decade. Please enlighten me with more of your knowledge boy wonder, and share with the board how the AD confided it’s plans with a recruits father even though said recruit opened his recruitment up weeks ago yet this knowledge is just now being leaked to you of course. Even though every teenager on Earth has Twitter and Facebook account

Hamilton had a plan. Hart had a plan. Currie may indeed have a plan. However, rarely do plans go chapter and verse very smoothly as former heavyweight champ Iron Mike Tyson once said, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the nose." Plans are great as long as one understands what should the next steps be if somebody drops trou and leaves a deuce in the punchbowl.

Currie is proving to be incompetent. He doesn't know whether to sh!t or go blind. He is not the answer to Tennessee's future. Getting rid of him is way more important right now to right this ship. And Davenport having hired him speaks volumes about her and her commitment to Tennessee football.

History tells us how that worked out - an apt parallel to Currie's plan for Tennessee Athletics.
