John Currie has a plan...

Currie is proving to be incompetent. He doesn't know whether to sh!t or go blind. He is not the answer to Tennessee's future. Getting rid of him is way more important right now to right this ship. And Davenport having hired him speaks volumes about her and her commitment to Tennessee football.

Again, what evidence is there to prove any of this yet?

What evidence is there not to disprove it.

Well if someone alleges you sometimes dress up like a school girl and like to (fill in the blank, you get the idea), where is the evidence to disprove that?

Just because you people have an opinion doesn't make it the truth.

Because unlike the video game fantasy world many of you live in, being on the job only 7 months is hardly enough time to see the results of any work that's been put in. He can't just click on a coach's name and be hired.

I'd argue there is proof that he's doing nothing.

Think back on recent coach hirings, Saban, Myer, Harbaugh. All big name coaches going to big name schools and we saw reports and rumors all over ESPN, Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated.

Yet for the arguably the two coaches who have been hot topics lately, Jones, Gruden, we don't see a single report or rumor on ESPN, Fox Sports and so on.

Jones has been on the hot seat since last December and we've heard nothing on his possible firing, more that people are wondering how he is still employed.

Shoot even with McElwain we saw stories come out over the span of a week and then boom he's fired.

So that leads a lot of people to believe that Currie is doing nothing and doing his best impression of the Joker

Why talk with Kelly if we already have Gruden? Sounds like a plan to me.

Ain’t it so?

I saw something earlier today about the Vols maybe going to Shreveport for a bowl game if they get eligible. I was going to text my wife that we should go if that happens since it’s relatively close to her parents’ place in Houston where we’ll be over the holidays ... and then I realized that there was such a small chance of us getting bowl eligible that it was laughable.

This is killing me. “Hate” is too strong a word, but darn if Currie is making me angry for keeping us as a laughingstock. Maybe he’ll redeem himself ... but I don’t think so. I think Butch is back next season. God help me, but I do.

Might want to give the dispensaries a break

Everyone knew what we were getting when Currie was hired over Blackburn and Fulmer. Not sure why anyone is surprised by the lack of action.

Twitter

So there are those on VN and many VFL's that believe that Currie has a master plan, that has ahead of the curve and has a coach ready to go.

The link tells me he doesn't. I really think that we are all going to be blindsided at the lack of vision and direction our AD has.

Twitter is a good source..

Currie didn’t come on to VN and explain in detail who he is going after and when he will fire Butch = Currie has no plan.

Got it. Most clueless fan base in the USA

I’d be more ok with him telling VN than I would him calling potential football recruits one by one telling them.

It just down to this, if we as VOL fans don't know, then the AD, Pres, or anyone else connected with UT doesn't know!!!!! So I guess know one KNOWS!!!!!!!!!!

Board gets dumber by the second. Fans not knowing have no bearing on the AD plans. None, nada, zilch.

edit: just saw the blue font

somebody should tell those guys commenting on the Twitter link that Kelly's show cause expired after 18 months while he was busy spending 4 years coaching in the NFL.

It should be fairly obvious what the plan is.

What I’m more concerned about is if the plan falls through. Is there a Plan B? Or are we just gong to bank on Mullen learning how to recruit?

Dude recruits just fine to Miss State with an average class ranking way above the program average. He also has a product on the field to package with recruiting. Tennessee doesn’t have that. All he has to do is be a competent coach and develop players and recruits will flock here.

Butch makes recruiting look like it requires an all out effort round the clock because he doesn’t have an on field product to sell to players.

What about this crazy scenario??? bUTch does a Counzo Martin and leaves on his own..

Then the A.D's. office will be scrambling to find a replacement for bUTch.....

Better have a Plan "B"

Plan A includes Jones not being here. So scrambling because he left on his own instead of being fired doesn't matter.

Plan B would pertain to having another guy if plan A doesn't come.
