My point is that every top level school in the past few years has had some form of story out about a coach coming or going
By your logic you're assuming that John Currie has been able to figure out how to keep everything quiet
We're assuming he is able to do that while better/more experienced ADs were unable to?
We have no proof that Currie is doing anything, be it firing Jones, back channeling to other coaches, or keeping Jones, nothing.
We can assume he's gone at the end of the year, we don't know for a fact. For all we know Currie might be waiting to see if Jones can get to a bowl before he decides to keep him or not.
It is a bad look, it's a bad look to recruits, it's a bad look to the fans, it's a bad look all around.
While in most cases patience is a good thing, in this case where the recruiting class is falling apart, maybe either he comes out and says Jones is gone, or gives him the dreaded vote of confidence.
Either way, it's quickly going down the drain, and Currie from outward appearances is just standing back doing nothing.
it's extremely naive to think our AD is doing nothing.
and you don't need to be told publically what's going on, what's going to happen, and when. it's not owed to you, and it'd be a disservice to the program (and would be very telling about how equipped our AD really is to do this job) to do so.
but hey, if you REALLY think he's just sitting around watching Tennis.....whatever. i don't need to convince you otherwise for me to know what's going on....whether i've been told or not.
