Joey Football > Hooker

Joey runs the offense similar to how Hooker did. We seem to fly down the field like we did when he was here. With that being said, Hooker is a better runner. And I think less turnover prone. Probably more accurate as well.

No, Hooker executed the offense at a very high level and Joey isn’t quite there yet. No knock on him, I just think Hooker had the advantage of multiple years here and maybe a better set of WR in Bru, Hyatt and Tillman.
Joey just set the school record for most 40+ point games to start a season. If that isn't operating the offense at the highest level nothing is.

Can someone put up both QB’s stats after 5 games?
I already looked it up. They are right with each other. JA played the tougher schedule, has more passing yards, passing TD's, and the same rushing TD's thru 5 games. Hooker had a higher completion % but JA had a higher drop rate so its not really a huge difference. Hooker has the edge on the int's but again JA had 4 bounce off his WR's.

I think neither guy was very accurate before they got to Knoxville. There is something about guys running wide open that boosts that % lol. If JA didnt have so many drops it would be close to even

I don’t think so. I like him, but don’t think he’s better than Hooker. Joey has no deep ball. There’s a reason we draw these PI from under throws. It’s all he’s got in his arm. When we went for the Hail Mary at the end of the Ms State game he threw it from midfield and it landed short of the end zone.

Hooker was a little more accurate and a better runner. I do love me some Joey Football though. If by some miracle he gets another year look out. He's still learning the playbook and I can only imagine how good he can become with another year in the system.
How would he get another year?

Because he has to. We have no choice but to score that many points because of our defense.
The only game that I would say so far this year where it was necessary was the UGA game. 3 games were over in the 1st quater so those are garbage time stats. We dont win the MSU game without the 2 TD's by the defense. The pace we play at, we will always give up points no matter how good the defense is because they will be on the field most of the game. We saw an elite defense last year but our pace was the slowest in the CJH era last year. The more possessions u give a team the more likely they are to score.
