JJ do better man

My thoughts:

1. I like JJ. He's a big reason why we won many games. Without him pulling down J'arrete's 50/50 rootypoot passes time after time, we don't win four games this year.

2. I loved the hit. Barely legal is still legal, right? He knocked the guy for a loop. I loved it.

3. The heel-grind into the guy's face looked entirely intentional to me. I could be wrong, and don't care either way. I want him to play in the bowl, so if it WAS intentional, I hope he gets away with it.

4. That said, he is a powderkeg waiting to explode. I fully expect him to do something really bad to someone in the next ten years, and I mean off the field. I hope I'm wrong about this one.

How you you feel if it was JJ on the Vandy sideline getting stepped on? You guys would be crying for blood.

But since it's a UT player, then there's nothing to see.
I once saw Cortland Finnegan get car washed by 5 or 6 Texans in a similar situation only much worse. It was so bad that another Texan came into the mix and pulled him up off the ground bad got him away from them. Football isn’t a game for poons and sometimes tempers flare.

If this was reversed, there would already be a thread demanding the Vandy player kicked off the team

Number 4 looks like a distinct possibility. Isn't he the guy who went on an angry rant about the previous coaching staff?

Hard tackle on a slip and slide. Maybe a little extra with the helmet but stepping on his head was inadvertent. He wasn't even looking at where his feet were. I'm glad that the Vandy player didn't get hurt on that play.

Enough with all the pearl clutching over this. It's football.

So if you can't engage in an intellectual discussion with those that disagree with you just start calling them names. Your maturity is showing.

Where’d you get your sideline psychology degree from?? If you tackled someone like that I guarantee you your adrenaline and emotion would be hard to control. Either way, JJ did not do anything malicious. But to insinuate that he will to something bad to someone in the future is preposterous and sad. JJ deserves better than that and I think you know it.

Just angry that he did that and possibly hurt the team if he gets suspended.
I get that if it was intentional but we don’t know
it’s odd that your a Steelers (me too)fan taking it this way. Steelers have always played dirty

Ever step on, say, your dog or maybe a kid's toy in the dark while getting up to take a leak? You didn't expect that to happen and your first move is to awkwardly try to take your weight off what ever it is so you won't break it or your ankle.

I could see that in JJ, with eyes straight ahead and suddenly realizing his foot was on the guy. If he stomped on the guy as some suggest there would have been major damage to tissue and likely bones.

I'm afraid this incident will result in no JJ in the bowl game and a major hit on JJ's NFL aspirations.

Hit was clean, they slid up under a bunch of crap on the sideline and there was a little extra crap in the scrum afterwards but nothing terrible till he got up. I have no idea if the step to the face was intentional or not. Hard to judge the guy from the video imo. So I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

They have? I don't think they do. Not recently. Except Mason Rudolph 😄
