Jim Haslam Sr. Comments

If it really was that long of a laugh, that's a bit telling. If there were legit negotiations taking place, they want/need to keep it under wraps. And he's right, there's just too much of the season left to be show their hand this early.

Or it could mean.....So you are one of the idiots that thinks Jon Gruden is going to coach at Tennessee!!!

If they keep Dools, then season ticket sales and recruiting are in the toilet.
Flush the guy.

Dooley isn't going anywhere any time soon.

its a process..we are in the middle of a process.

And 3 years isn't that long... sorry.. Its not..

Well, the process ain't working then brother... I have been watching UT football for a long time and I have never seen anything this uninspiring and undisciplined.. I have defended Dooley longer than most but I'm willing to admit I was wrong... I am done with the product he is putting on the field..

Bottom line, process or not, the 'powers that be' are NOT going to put up with the number of empty seats I'm seeing..

That's BS
Negative comments on a message board aren't going to make a difference
Compared to coaches attitudes and the opportunity to play for a winninutg program, and let me stress winning
Let me stress you're FOS. Put youself in an elite recruits shoes. He recieves a letter from Tn. and Googles "TN Football". VN is the biggest, baddest kid on the block with 50k plus members and he clicks this site to check us out.
Every other post is so full of hate directed at our coach,AD, and sometimes even our players, that if I were them I'd chunk that letter in the trash and never give Tn. a second look. (and neither would you, if you are being honest !!! ) That's no BS.

Saban has been coaching the Bammers for 4 yrs and he is in the running for his 3rd National Championship! You on the other hand are praising Dooley for beating Freakin TROY! By a TD in the 4th qtr

News Flash. This just in....Losing begets upset fans. Upset fans voice their frustration on social media and stop attending games. Losing builds it's own momentum, and recruits can see that no matter what program they are considering.

hahahahaha.....I bet your an OBAMA supporter! haha...He is doing a great job too right?

Your a Jackass... Go suck on some Romney/Ryan policies and get a diff flavor for the same stance based on what the right wing nuts want at the moment... Do I hear "FLIP FLOP ON EVERY SINGLE ISSUE" and nonsensical blabbering of untruths and made up statistics by both Rom and Ryan. Thats what u get for putting some stupid comment about politics.

1. I don't believe this story
2. If I did believe this story why would he tell some annoying random passerby

I get that, but you have to admit that other coaches such as Sumlin, Mullen, Freeze, and Brian Kelly are way ahead of what Dooley is getting done. Six coaches leaving last year, and the ill advised switch to the 3-4 is killing us. Dooley is constantly getting beat on the recruiting trail as well. I also believe in "bigger, faster, stronger" in football players. We don't appear that way under Dooley. o for life against ranked SEC opponents in his tenure here is unacceptable to me. If we win out, and that's a big if, he will probably get another year. We are so bad defensively, I wonder how much better we will be next year.

i would have followed that laugh with a straight face, and replied, "well, i think we all hoped coach dooley would pan out, but it's time for tennessee to get this head coaching situation fixed and asap.

After all, the head coaching position is the motor that drives the vehicle for the entire athletic department. If the engine's not humming, nothing's moving. And that's exactly where we are right now. Going nowhere."

going backwards

Yeah we're all waiting for the SEC 2 deep talent.. Dooley isn't ever going to get it.. His classes are going in the wrong direction every year.. With the way he's recruiting there will always be holes on this team.. He's not getting enough talent to keep up with the top teams in this conference.. Hell his older players are losing games to younger teams now.. We're not getting anywhere, just stuck in the middle to bottom third..

Bottom 3rd at best

You bethcha , and he will be re-elected over the objection of the Southern states. Thank goodness the rest of the country isn't stuck on STUPID! What this country needs is Democratic majority in the House or the replacement of the extremists with more moderate dare I say it, repubs. BTW, Fla could be the exception in the Southern block, it's a coin flip. :birgits_giggle:

Socialism doesn't work...Big Goverment and more regulation doesn't work....but the folks that elected Obama will pay along with the rest of us
Obamacare=Obamination

Gruden is not coming to Tennessee.

Hart is gonna try and find the best coach he can. If he can't find the right guy, he is going to keep Dooley until he can find the right guy. Why, because Dooley is not his hire and it doesn't directly reflect on his ability to get a good coach. The worst mistake he could make is hire someone as sorry as Dooley. If he hired someone as bad as Dooley, it would be the end of his Tennessee career and the end of his AD career anywhere.

Source is...common sense.

Common sense says we lost somewhere in the $750,000 range today in lost ticket sales and concession sales so keep on thinking Dooley will be around next year.

We sure have improved since year one... not.

We've actually gotten worse.

If Dooley isn't going anywhere, I'm sure a lot of fans will. Did you not see where Leonard Little said former players don't even want to remember their days at Tennessee? If players are disgusted, obviously even more fans are going to be.

I saw Jim Haslam Sr. at the Dailey and Vincent bluegrass concert at Maryville college tonight. I worked up the nerve to go up to him and ask about the JG situation. I just came out and said, "Are we going to get Gruden?" He responded with a laugh that lasted about 30 seconds. I then said, "I guess that means NO." He said, "No one knows, but remember one thing. The season is not over yet. Just remember that. The season is not over yet." I am not really sure if we can read into it or not, but I thought that was a very interesting response. BTW, he was a VERY nice gentleman!

:lolabove: Bull$h!t to your entire post
