If it really was that long of a laugh, that's a bit telling. If there were legit negotiations taking place, they want/need to keep it under wraps. And he's right, there's just too much of the season left to be show their hand this early.
Oh shut up and gtfo
Dooley is a good coach.
Maybe he isnt SEC good
But he is a good coach.
Im sick of people calling him names and saying he cant coach.
95% of coaches today would crumble with our schedule year end and year out.
7-5 is better than 6-7. It's not complicated.
Improvement doesn't mean we're where we want. Improvement means that we're closer than we used to be.

Go Troy?
Oh, I am just kidding. If Dools can win these final four games, it does show improvement. I fully support the team. Go Vols!
For the time being, yes. If we are on the way to being a top team, then beginning at the bottom and moving to the top, we have to pass mediocrity (Music City Bowl)
on the way to the top. You usually can't go from 5 - 7 to 9 - 3, you have to take baby steps.
I saw Jim Haslam Sr. at the Dailey and Vincent bluegrass concert at Maryville college tonight. I worked up the nerve to go up to him and ask about the JG situation. I just came out and said, "Are we going to get Gruden?" He responded with a laugh that lasted about 30 seconds. I then said, "I guess that means NO." He said, "No one knows, but remember one thing. The season is not over yet. Just remember that. The season is not over yet." I am not really sure if we can read into it or not, but I thought that was a very interesting response. BTW, he was a VERY nice gentleman!
Well, aren't you just the big ballsey advice giver.I would have followed that laugh with a straight face, and replied, "Well, I think we all hoped Coach Dooley would pan out, but it's time for Tennessee to get this Head Coaching situation fixed and ASAP.
After all, the Head Coaching position is the motor that drives the vehicle for the entire Athletic Department. If the engine's not humming, nothing's moving. And that's exactly where we are right now. Going nowhere."

Dooley isn't going anywhere any time soon.
its a process..we are in the middle of a process.
And 3 years isn't that long... sorry.. Its not..
